Switched in last second between Fallout 3 and Oblivion , even though Oblivion is just amazing , Fallout 3 is indescribable :)

Prey and Alan Wake.

I haven't played many games with emotional stories, but I can name a game that broke my heart, Forever.

XCOM Enemy Unknown, Civilization V

Any Fallout / TES games.

Half Life 2, Deus Ex, Drakan - order of the flame, Portal

HMMMM i'll split it into a few categories...

MMOFPS - Ace online/Air Rivals (before it went COMPLETELY pay to win!)
MMORPG - Anarchy Online hands down. Others are good but come nowhere near in customization.
FPS - winner: Soldier front 1 (2 is coming) - close 2nd and third: A.V.A - Blacklight retribution
MOBA - League of Legends hands down. The major drawback for me for other moba's is that it's TOO dark for me
Sandbox - Minecraft with reason that you got complete Freedom.
Sandbox rpg - Skyrim... ITS SOO FLUFFY. Seriously the world is gorgeous.
Strategy/RTS - Age of Mythology: The Titans: tbh it's better than starcraft 2... in a good AoMTT match there's a lot more strategic options not to mention the correct use of god powers can turn things around.
Hack and slash - This is a genre i only recently got into and my current favorite would be DarkSiders 2.
Follow-The-Storylines games: Bloodrayne/Deus ex: HR
Card games: yu gi oh forbidden memories: IMO it's the only good one.
racing games: Any game with no "boosts" that can make you go faster, nitro is okay but "protection from bumps from others" is just ridiculous.

I missed out on some games (borderlands1&2/crysis/tons of others) that i have yet to play (if money ever allows) so i'm not 100% correct but i hope i'm close!

TES3: Morrowind (i like the whole series but morrowind had a deep impact for my childhood)
Alan Wake (really awesome game, great atmosphere and good guy developers)
Hitman Blood Money (spent hours to accomplish the missions perfectly, makes addicted)
Deus Ex: HR (nothing to say, great game, great story)
GTA San Andreas (about thousand of hours played [including sa:mp], never getting boring)
