Remember this dork? John Gibson founded the company that developed Red Orchestra, Killing Floor and published other games like ManEater. Last year this conservative goober decided, unpromptly, to join in the public curb stomping of women's reproductive rights in Texas. This spontaneous support for the new legislation costed him his status in the company, despite his colleagues apparently supporting him too. At least according to him? Why dredge this up and endanger the company further? They must have felt he was a liability because he is still saying the quiet part out loud today. After losing their CEO title, he remained as the significant share holder. Kept their salary, stayed on the company's board and helped facilitate their sale to Embracer to then enjoy a huge pay day. He isn't satisfied thou, he went on Tucker Carlson's White Power Hour to cry about "social terrorism" and being bullied for having the audacity of telling women what to do with their bodies. Read the article for some incredible quotes from the joker if you don't wish to watch Fucker Carlson's stupid gawking face interviewing him on Faux News

I think the topic has grown with enough "my body my choice" comments now (quote which, on a side note and to make things clear, I fully agree with in its raw, no-side-thoughts form) that we can ask those people how they apply it to the covid vaccine 👀

It's best to just let it die.

People who aren't open to discussion and just want their views approved are still trying to find a new home post-musk acquisition of Twitter.

This sentence is just pure irony...

Guess it's only ok to do it if you buy the whole platform.

I don't get how this is irony. I mean, those people he mentioned weren't kicked out of Twitter (as far as I know), they just chose to boycott it

I don't mind entertaining your thought. I don't know which side you'd like to take however.

I assume you're thinking of people who refused to take the vaccine despite knowing what effects it could have on them or on others. You'd have to elaborate for me to be able to go too much in detail but if this has to do with repercussions like people losing their jobs/positions due to refusing to take the vaccine, then it is my belief that's completely reasonable.

We are at the end of the day talking about different topics:
A. One has to do with a man speaking out loud how he supports a change that would put an already in pain and suffering woman in even more along the way, then the man being upset he lost his position yet showing no remorse for it.
B. The other has to do with people knowing not taking the vaccine could have high chances of putting themselves and nearby individuals and whoever they would then spread it to at risk of death, and then losing their position for willing to endanger said people.

To some degree both are justifiable in the sense of someone losing their position and getting canceled. It might be their body, their choice but it applies different in your case when for instance someone might have ebola, and "their body your choice" wants to go to the amusement park knowingly it would infect and kill many people. Women asking for their right to decide for an abortion isn't affecting the opposite sex to the point of death(I'd like to believe), and not having the ability to have an abortion from something like rape, which would have been caused by a man(right?), and likely feeling very uncomfortable around men due to the first incident, only makes it worse if a man is who can decide for them whether they have to continue going through that pain or not, no one enjoys being kicked when they're already down. It makes sense for a male to be losing at least his title for voicing his support for something a little inhuman.

In the end these are very different topics and if you'd like you can make a new thread specifying exactly what you'd like to talk about and I'm sure some of us will join you in the conversation, or of course feel free to add me and debate it with me on steam.

Imagine knowing so little about such a complicated issue that you can boil it all down to "baby murder" and thinking you are the clever one.

Also I want to point something out, everyone keeps going rape and incest, which are bad but the fact of the matter is and what many men don't fucking understand is that childbirth can be a fucking death sentence. Everybody needs to go to the church of mind your own fucking business. Who the fuck cares why a woman is having an abortion? "Well I don't think it should be used for birth control" Why the fuck not? Because of your feelings? If men don't want women to have abortions, men shouldn't have sex with women. No one is going to the doctors every few months and having an abortion, or taking the morning after pill every time they have sex. That's not a thing. People also aren't having abortions at 7 months for shits and giggles. No doctor is getting rid of a fetus that is viable unless that fetus is a danger to the mother's life, or something has gone catastrophically wrong with the fetus, ie it has no skull. Either it is legal and easily accessible or it isn't and women die. Those are the only real options here.

Abortion is women's healthcare. End of. This guy is saying he doesn't believe that woman should have woman specific healthcare because of his morality, which again the bible is pro-abortion so I really don't know where this morality is coming from. I don't care why you need an abortion, but I do get irritated when people are like well rape and incest. Both of those things are incredibly hard to prove and shouldn't be a thing. A ten year old gets pregnant, probably incest, definitely rape, still banned from getting an abortion, despite the fact that attempting to have the child could be a death sentence. 20 year old gets pregnant, after having sex with her boyfriend and neither are in any financial position to have a baby, they abort. Neither one of these things bother me and they really shouldn't bother you because I truly believe in consequences. And I would rather society not create an army of unwanted children, because in 20 years a bunch of psychologically stunted, angry, hurt and damaged people are going to be roaming around increase in crime, increase in homelessness, increase in poverty.

In this case rape and incest is the perfect example to ask about for the people who are die hard against abortion. Because every other time you get back an answer of philosophical nature of what is considered life. And then you don't see the end to the discussion. In this case you at least can give them a concrete example of why it should very much be allowed to perform an abortion.

Apart from that - Agreed. First and foremost it should be the decision of a woman herself. Unfortunately modern day feminism has shifted its attention away from true problems women face and left issues like this open to be thrown around in politics for easy votes from either side of the argument.

The loop continues. Again.

"No matter how bad his views are, in the end all he did was express his opinions and he should be able to do that. That's freedom of speech!"

->

"It's awful that the public were able to say that his views were garbage, because that caused the free-market driven financially-motivated big company to... alter his title! These people expressing their opinions and deciding what they purchase with their own money are going too far! This is the fault of the WOKENESS and the business being FORCED by WORDS, and not money."

I'd chuckle but it's just depressing. People even read Elon Musk outright saying that advertisers not buying into Twitter was his freedom of speech being attacked by the woke mob, and a disillusioning number of people agreed. This timeline man, I swear if it wasn't for the slim chance of getting Um Jammer Lammy 2, I'd be in a different one.
