not sure how it happened, but the title pretty much tells the whole story... i was able to enter & win this GA https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/4BgKQ/wanderland-starter-pack for a DLC i've already owned for over 2 months... what am i supposed to do now? can i reject the key once i receive it or forfeit my win somehow? i don't want to be penalized due to a bug in the system...

You are responsible for the giveaways you enter.

Not a bug, steam's API doesn't report DLC.
You screwed up, just ask in a comment on the giveaway for a re-roll and hide giveaways for any DLC you own.

Just for future references, "@" doesn't work on the forums, you can directly reply to people by pressing the reply button on their comment and write the comment there - they'll get a notification about it.

Our friendly members have already answered your question, but I will reiterate. Do not use the key, do not mark the game received, and do make sure you post a comment in the giveaway's comments section. In your comment, say something like, "Please re-roll this giveaway." The creator of the giveaway should make the ticket, and Support should re-roll a new winner.

You winner should make the ticket,

Same issue for me last week (https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/JcmS9/starter-pack-for-arcane-preraise) and it looks like giveaway creator doesn't want to reroll as there is no answer since 1 week...
I probably entered 2 giveaways for the same DLC twice as his giveaways last usually 1 month or so. When I won't it at the 1st giveaway I forgot to check if I have other entries for the same game pending. Too bad to see this key unused while another SG member would like to use it.

It's not a bug, it's a feature. D

Just ask for a re-roll in the comments section and don't mark the giveaway.

That's what I did 1 week ago, but no reroll since then...

Mark it "not received" and move on.

Is there no way to hide all owned DLCs from view like with the games?

You have to do it manually.
Steamgifts can't "detect" most DLCs as Steam does not provide the information.

I see... to do it manually for 400+ games might take a while xD thanks for the information, though.

Just check if you own a DLC each time you want to enter. If you own it, hide the DLC. It takes less time than one would think.

Already have to hide the dlcs from games I recently bought in a bundle because the dlcs were in there too xD but it's not that much work, I get it. Just have to remember to check steam when entering for a dlc giveaway.

fyi: it does this with game packs also anything with more than 1 game or game+dlc (goty/complete editions) steam id sees it as a "new game" even if you own everything in the pack.

7,862 hid games and DLCs took a time at first, now it's just peaking :D

Is it possible to add an option that would allow us to hide all DLC for a specific game?

For example.. say I go to a game that has DLC. There can be a button there (or on the hide confirmation pop up) that will hide all DLC for that particular game as well.
OR :)
I go to a DLC for a game and when I go to hide it it I can select "Hide ALL DLC for this game"

Think that could be a handy feature.

that would be a nice feature indeed
