Iam interessed in buying The Witcher 2 from humblebundle, however in the options it shows its RDM-free, which iam not too sure how it works. Can you redeem it on steam? Anyone with experience would be awesome

This is why I buy from Humble whenever I can...you always get DRM-free as well as any applicable keys

This isn't Steam redeemable, it activates only on gog.com, so you are out of luck.

Steam is a DRM, so DRM free means no steam. Basically you can download install files from humble site, install it and play it but cannott add it to any of your DRM libraries ;p

For what it's worth, that's not always 100% true. Some games on Steam are completely DRM-free and Steam merely serves as a glorified downloader. Machinarium for example is completely DRM-free.

yes, but in this case OP asks if buying DRM free will give him game for steam. And it will not. I was saying that DRM-free version will never give you a Steam key, not that there are not Steam keys that may give you a DRM free version ;)

No. DRM Free is when there are no DRM services applied. It is when you own the game you buy rather than placing your game in the hands of a median DRM service. Therefore steam would never = DRM Free.

If you buy it on Steam it will also give you a key in your library for GOG which you can then redeem here to get the DRM-free version in addition to the Steam version:

There's a good chance there will be a sale on the other Witcher games when it is released next month.

You will have a lot of hours with the first one, I put 96hs on it myself, so waiting is the best choice. Awesome game, hope you enjoy it!
