A Japanese voice actress for many animes it seems. I'm not an anime watcher but it's sad to see people die this young. (38?)

38 is a young age?

These days, yeah.

Your image supports it too, since that's almost half of the average life expectancy five years ago.

Not to mention that's WORLD average. I imagine there's significant disparity between first and third world life expectancy.

It's hard to find any good statistics for that :< BUT people are dying everywhere even before crossing 10 years of life. 38 years is not so small amout of time.

I disagree. I don't think someone dying younger means someone else didn't die young.

As far as statistics go:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_life_expectancy According to this, in 2013 Japan had the world's highest average life expectancy, with an average of 84, and 87 for women specifically. Going down past 100 on the list it's still over 70.

What Dsc said, plus it's Japan, aren't they pretty good at getting old? (unless they hang themselves in a forest) ?

You can find suicides everywhere. And where is the ending of young age border, where "average" and when old?

Well, in my own opinion old starts at retirement :)
And yes, suicides are everywhere, but 5 is not the same as 8.

(in before you say "but what if you retire at 24?") :P
(in before you say, "but numbers are made up by humans, who says 5 really isn't 8?")

I know better quote :D
But to be frank If numbers are made up by humans then we can ask that same way "when we can considerate someone as an adult person?"

Japanese anime board was flooded about her a few days ago. Now quiet.
Gifs posted are characters whose voices are acted by her.
RIP.

"Talent agency 81 Produce announced on Monday that voice actress and singer Miyu Matsuki passed away on October 27 due to an illness. She was 38.
Matsuki had announced in July that she would be taking a break from her work to focus on treating her pneumonia. She said at the time that she had a fever since the start of the year that wouldn't recede, and then found out she had acute pneumonia after repeatedly going to the hospital for check-ups."

It's unbelievable in what a cruel and unfair world we live in. You can live healthy and well for years and then suddenly get sick and die few months later. I always get shocked when I read stories like this, they really makes you think about life.

Yeah I thought she is going to recover, I really really thought so
Especially after she wrote that she'll get ready to get married and have so many things to do after she recover
Not to mention her upcoming role in "Hundred"

Yeah that just so cruel.. She was too young and haven't reach her dream

True, you're always upbeat, and I'll admit that each time I see you on SteamGifts, it's always to bring joy.

But no. I'm actually glad you feel so. To me, it just means you love humanity. And you appreciated her and her talent so much that you didn't even need to meet her to be happy to know her, to the point you now miss her. To tell you the truth, I've got the same kind of feeling. My luck is that mine's just temporary. And it better stay that way.

If I recall, you want to get into voice acting, right? Well, you may not be as talented as she was, but you have the desire to create and the power to inspire.

Don't let that go.

Also yes, this site isn't a social media. But this is a part of humanity nonetheless. Feel free to share your feelings anytime.
