Flies xD. Then there is 'midges' or 'midgies' or 'mozzies' for the mosquito...
If it is the ones that manage to fly in through a tiny open window and then repeatedly fly into the window when you've opened it to let them out, I tend to call them 'retarded'

I believe it is named after Jean-Sébastien Mouche who was the creator of said boats.

Fluga, in Swedish.
But, Spyfluga sounds more delicious.

Spyfluga is the Swedish name for the Calliphoridae family of flies. And actually, saying that fly=fluga is not quite correct either. The Swedish word is Tvåvingar. In English, they call the entire order Diptera fly (which is what we call tvåvingar), while Swedes call the suborder Brachycera Fluga.

While my knowledge of flies no doubt is infinitely more pedestrian than yours..
I think the OP was interested in the common name for calliphoridae flies, aka "carrion flies"(yes, I can use wikipedia too). As he not so subtely hinted to in his original post..
