I think its fun even though I suck at it and lose every match but I found out one thing I was doing wrong I was "feeding" the enemy team since I just kept charging in too destroy towers..

Dota 2 is really good- if you're willing to learn and can mind the vat of acid that is a MOBA community. It feels more versatile and unpredictable than League of Legends- but is much harder to play as a result.
Dota 2's acid vat is particularly bad right now though. It's not because of the standard 'Uninstall the game noob' or 'Go kill yourself noob' dialogue though- that comes with the territory. No, Dota 2's vat is really bad because it currently has more leavers than any other MOBA I've played. Game abandonment is RAMPANT in Dota 2 right now.
Even League of Legends has fewer leavers that Dota 2- cause in Dota 2, Leavers are the norm. There is ALWAYS at least 1 per game in my experience. <_> (I've only had 3-5 games without leavers in Dota 2, ever.)
It's a pity- because other than the community, Dota 2 is really good. It's design and control definitely expect you to have experience in the genre though. So League of Legends is the better place to go if you're brand new, since its MUCH easier to play than Dota 2 is.

from my experience dota has less leavers than dota 2. Every match in dota there is a 5 % chance of someone leaving but in dota 2 there is like a 90 percent chance of a leaver every game. Dota 2 is really fun when everybody stays even though they know they'll loose.

its a good game but the community is shit reporting you for stupid reasons such as being a noob

Everyone is talking about bad community but none of you mentions the right side of it. Ofc they are quite hostile to newbies, but who does not want to cry over someone with 3 recipes... BUT here is the thing, if you are actually good, and not hostile to the others by default, the community is cool. 90% of the games I play, my teammates work together, we do ganking, even most of the times people know what to pick, or the last guys pick what the team asks. It's not that bad at all, once you are a good player.

Meh, I got accepted into the Dota 2 beta...and I opened it. Immediately I was intimidated by the level of complexity; I didn't even bother to play one game. Later on that day I went back to LoL (League of Legends).
My suggestion, if one wishes to get into Dota 2, one must start with LoL and go from there.
As many people said, yes, Dota 2 is full of elitists..not everyone is, but you're bound to come across several. (Not to leave out LoL as well, because I played a PvP match and got told to uninstall the game--so it's pretty much well rounded in the MOBA community) But, LoL has an easier learning curve than Dota 2, plus you might be able to convince a few of your friends to play with you (if they don't have the game already), since it's free. Dota 2 is still in beta by invite only, so chances are, not everyone you know has it.
So, if you wish to get into the world of MOBA's, one must start with LoL, and then once you gained enough experience and confidence, then Dota 2 it is. (But by that time you'll probably want to stick with LoL)

You´re pretty right there.
Finally got my DotA2 key by trading in Terraria and now... well, i tried several games. Against bots of course and well... what should i say. I used to play LoL for some time and bots are, well, a fun was to train. And whatever hero you pick, you have some chances of not screwing totally. In fact, it is hard to screw up in bot matches.
In DotA 2, well... i´ve some hours played by now (about 7) and playing against bots on normal just sucks hard. I got 3 kills! In 7 hours! No kidding! Died like about 100 times!
I wasn´te xpecting DotA2 to be easy or something i am good at after 5 games but this sucks hard! I´m not a bad player in LoL and consider myself slightly above average but in DotA2, i just don´t get anywhere. This is mostly due to the fact that DotA2 is wasting it´s potential because of the (imho) absolutly shitty camera settings. They call it "camera management". Well, i call it f*cked up crap! If i´m getting hit by enemies way outside my viewing range just because my cam ain´t able to be more scrolled out, well, i prefer staying with LoL then. I just don´t feel like moving my camera more than my character (alomst^^).
So yeah, DotA2 is a good game if you can look over this fact or even are one of the persons that like this kind of "management". I just ain´t.
So long.

Yeah, what you pretty much said is what my friends said when they played bot matches in Dota 2.
The bots are insanely hard to be considered practice...once I heard this, I knew that Dota 2 wasn't for me because in LoL, I'm just barely getting used to getting kills! (I started playing two weeks ago so I'm still new.)
I didn't even know about the camera thing....
