The only thing that sucks about this sale is the amount of money I've spent already >_< lol

Nah i will still buy it, I got the money, i just rather get a discount you know xD

WTF is this 45% discount ??!! http://store.steampowered.com/app/346470/Tennis_Elbow_2013/
No in fact i laughed so much. XD
But why 45 and not 50 ?

I miss some steep discounts, flash sales, and community picks. This whole flat discount throughout with around 50% for most games that receive a discount is kinda meh.
Only bought 1 game, and can't really see me buying anything else this sale. Maybe one or two more, but I doubt it. I bought 17 games during the recent GOG sale, which had some great games I wanted with reasonable discounts.

The sale could as well already finish for me - I've seen all the deals and have no intention of buying anything so earning and selling cards (let alone collecting useless stickers :D) for going through exploration queue is rather pointless anyway :P

Everything I really wanted has a discount of no more than 20%, even the game with huge amounts of DLC that I wanted is only giving 50% on the DLC instead of the 75% I was hoping for, the sticker album is dumb and the card drops are broken. I guess I will stick to the 50 cent games, it is actually kind of surprising how many of them I don't already have.

I actually have plenty of 80 and 90% discounts on my wishlist (very few brand new games there). But after hitting 1k games in library, 800 of which are in backlog I don't really feel urge to buy anything. There isn't one title that I want the most and I can't afford everything that's heavily discounted, so not knowing what to pick increases confusion.
But one thing really sucks. Paradox cheated price tags on their games to appear they're discounted more than they really are.

I checked out a list of games and they're all more expensive (and only a few have the same price, but NONE is cheaper) as the last sale. Do you feel ok about this? Do you keep believing that the new steam gifting rule was something positive and made the devs to lower their prices? Did steam at least try to fix their servers or fix the bugs during the sale? :)

Don't know how your scouting works but Virginia, Satellite Reign and Crypt of the Necrodancer have the lowest historical price (on Steam). And that's just some games from my wishlist, didn't bother to check more, I already own but I guess I'd find some nice deals as well :P
Although I agree with you that new Steam policy won't affect the prices of the games. Also I've told long ago that even Origin is more pro-customer than Steam. Let alone what GOG do for customers :P

Like Bully, MOH: Airborne, Penumbra, CS:GO, Age of Mythology, etc. :P All of them have worse prices than last summer. My friend gave me the list to tell him the discounts and he's disappointed now. xD

I didn't check ALL the games, but I checked multiple.

Okay, I'll bite.
TotalBiscuit (who I respect more than anyone, probably) said that the flash sales were a bad thing.
The reason being that everything had a smaller discount and then for 12-24 hours went into the normal discount that we see today. He's wrong on that. Games were usually -75% and some newer ones were -50% or -66%. Then, when flash sales hit, those games went one or two tiers higher.
So, in the end, it wasn't a bad discount becoming normal but instead a normal discount becoming really good.
Yeah, sales have been objectively worse and more lackluster as time has gone on. It's not really an argument for most Steam users. It sucks, but I'll live with it. I'm tired of protesting every time a sale starts.

Spent money on games even though I still have literally hundreds of games I need to play:
Check!
Oh, and:
50%?
Screw this sh!t.
All praise the Humble Bundle!

I gotta say, that I think the biggest problem with the sale in terms of AAA games is that the big publishers just aren't dropping the base price that much. So even though the game is 50% off, the original price is still the same as launch day, so it's still more than I wanted to spend. Especially with ubisoft. I was hoping to get AC Syndicate, Far cry 4 / primal, and maybe watch dogs 2, but the prices are still not so great, even though they are all 50% off. Guess they are taking a page from activision.
For other publishers / indie games it was still a good sale, just the days of AAA games from 12 months ago going for a quarter of the original price seems to be over.

Pretty much this. I remember buying Far Cry 3 a 2012 game in 2013 for, like, 7$. It was 75% off at the time, if I recall correctly. Far Cry 4 was released in 2014 and three years later, the lowest price it's been selling for is 20$ from the CDN store. :o/ Still too expensive for me. I might be spoiled by past sales but still... I usually buy games when they're under 10$.

Yeah for all games I have an idea of how much I think they are worth, I'm not extremely interested in Far cry 4, just thought it would be fun to play around in the open world, so $10 for me would be a fair price. 3 Years after release, I don't think it's unreasonable to think it would be on sale for $10.

The Ubisoft games on my WL are as follows:
Watchdogs (Historical Low: $4.00) selling for 8.99 FAIL
Assassin's Creed Revelations (4.90) selling for 9.99 FAIL
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (4.99) selling for 9.99 FAIL
Assassin's Creed Rogue (8.80) selling for 9.99 FAIL
Assassin's Creed Syndicate (17.38) selling for 19.99 FAIL
Assassin's Creed Unity (10.00) selling for 19.99 FAIL

Wow! Maybe they are trying to make as much extra money as they can to avoid being bought out by vivendi or something. These are Activision prices.

Yup, this sale sucks. I officially give up, trying to find something that's worth buying. After I couldn't even access the Steam Store last night, I've now spent hours and yet I found nothing. I only looked because I got this €5 Paypal voucher, but I think it's better to let it expire (if it hasn't already). Unless someone here wants to recommend something around €20 to me (I'll gladly provide a list of tags/genres I don't like)?
Also, why can't I just strictly exclude certain tags, when exploring or browsing games? Seriously, I'm so sick, being recommended anime, pixel junk or multiplayer titles over and over again.
I won't even start going into details, that this sticker event is so very beyond boring.
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, that question was mostly rhetorical, because I already know that I'm much too picky to find anything in that sale.
But if you (or anyone else) want to take a look, I was looking for some nice builder/sandbox game, or a highly customizable RPG (more like Fallout/Skyrim ... definitely not JPRG), maybe some space game that doesn't suck (something like Privateer in the good old days) ... I'd even go with an action adventure or a 3rd person shooter if it comes with a decent story and is singleplayer (guess that rules out GTA5). In general I also love adventures of all kinds, but I already got so many, that I probably wouldn't be able to play it right away, and regret it it later on when it gets bundled before I even get to play it.
It's probably easier to say what I don't like: multiplayer, FPS, anime, platformers, MMO/MOBA, sports, casual, retro pixel stuff, rpgmaker, walking sims, visual novels.

there are no more short (3h) offers - in german called Blitzangebote.
for me there were he best offers and it was fun to find new offers.
Now all offers are set at once - thats boring.

I think they have to do that after they allowed refunds, otherwise everyone would refund a game they bought if it came on flash sale later.

So I somehow managed to get 10$ worth of RPG maker stuff but honestly, that was everything worth buying in my case.
With selling cards, I might even end up positive with this sale.

Penny Arcade's On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3, Hoven the Sage Spinel, In Vitra, Dawn's Light
Other games: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Hunnie Cam Studio(trying to play this with as many weird stuff as possible, e.g. midgets, cake farting, amputee, diapers... )
