Finding users by Steam ID no longer possible?

Hi all, I didn't spend much time here on the new SG, but seems the old method to find users by ID doesn't work anymore. Has it been changed or removed?

Thank you! I didn't know how to make it work, probably that's just because the guy I wanted to see the profile of wasn't registered here (in the old site it said "user not found" or stuff like that, here it sends you to the homepage)

Use the first (http://steamgifts.com/go/user/STEAMID), the second is only there for compatibility with older links, and it may be phased out one day.

Some "User doesn't exists" message would definitely be preferable to being sent to the home page.

I spent half an hour yesterday wondering why the links enhanced steam provides suddenly stopped working despite successfully using them a bit earlier, turns out i was just trying to find 2 people who never logged into the ST/SG network, a "user not found" message would be so much easier especially when it comes to typos.
