At this point I wouldn't be surprised if they dump another grab bag on us as the mystery game as I'm pretty sure they've done that before. They really should just stop putting extra slots in bundles when they know they can't fill them.

I've filled a dispute with PayPal on the grounds of "item not as described" and "false advertising". If Groupees haven't responded by tomorrow, which will have been a week I'll be escalating it to a claim.

I mentioned the mystery game not being revealed in Groupees' chat and got a response of "That's the joke."
I get the joke... I just think it's kind of misleading and a dick move to do. Good luck with the dispute.

Well they haven't responded to the dispute yet and I really don't think that'll really hold up when I escalate it to a claim and PayPal are looking into it. The mystery game was specifically included in the " 8 + 3 + 1 other" if they'd included it as an other then they would have had a point but they specifically advertised 8 games which they didn't deliver.

I mean, as a joke it wouldn't be so bad, if it were a bit more obvious and cleverly made, but the timing is quite unfortunate. Firstly the fact that it isn't April 1st (I know it says Late in the title thou but the title brings us to another topic) or any particular funny/themed holiday/period, secondly the inclusion of the "Natural Disasters" part. I mean, for some it might be a bit uncalled for (disrespectful even) combining a joke bundle with the recent events and some might even mistake it for a sort of charity bundle for such disasters as well, just like the Mexico Relief one (based only on the title), thirdly, if I remember correctly they actually advertised it as an upcoming mystery game at one point, they could've just said something "Will unlock in 3017" or "Will unlock when the sun rises in the west and sets in the east" or I don't know, I am no PR advisor/expert and I am just throwing my opinion in, without any ill will or anything, just trying some constructive criticism here and there.

Absolutely agree. There is NO indication that it's anything but a regular Mystery Game other than the BAB afterwards having the exact date of its mystery game reveal being listed (I'm guessing they were worried about them pulling this "joke" twice in a row).
It's not funny and it's getting kind of obvious that Groupees doesn't actually want Steam users anymore anyways since they seem to be almost exclusively about programming pdfs and music now.
That's a shame since I enjoyed their service for years and even had my own band in a community bundle and a Be Mine.

As an update to my earlier post I just received a refund from PayPal for this bundle. I filed the initial dispute on 26/09 and elevated it to a claim on 03/10 after Groupees failed to respond within a week. The claim elevation happened before the "mystery game" was revealed., and even after the game was revealed and the itch.io page went live it was clear this was just some shit they'd thrown together as quick as possible to try and appease people. In fact Groupees prior admittance that these mystery games were placeholders for unsecured products was part of my dispute that there was no reason we should see it as a joke. Anyway, PayPal gave them 10 days to respond after elevating the dispute to a claim and again they failed to do so so Paypal ruled in my favour and issued the refund.
Things might not play out the same now that their piss-poor excuse for a game has been revealed but if you're unhappy with Groupees attitude in this case it may still be worth giving it a try as Paypal already have all the details regarding the product in question and the sellers lack of response
