It is sudden as they had only mentioned new episodes of Camp Camp as recent as March 1st this year

I remember RvB before YouTube even existed, let alone Netflix 😂

I don't even remember what platform I watched it on back then.. Their own website I guess.

It was kinda the time where netflix actually had good shows so I had it back then. Other than that tbh i didn't do internet shows or whatever the like so thats why ig im like a "fresh" viewer

That's sad. I mean RWBY had arguably its best moment in Volume 3. But I wanted to know at least how the story ended -_- Makes one wonder how things had played out if Monty hadn't died.

I hear rumours that they went the activist route vs the profit one?
And had several continues flops.
Also that the IP of RWBY and red vs blue and genlock are up for sale.

I am not sure. But I have heard the same. I haven't really followed them, but twitter is full of fans basically saying the same. "I really want to say I feel sad about this since I loved watching all there stuff when I was younger but they literally brought this on themselves"

Honest question, is it OK to see it till season 3 and drop it? Does it have some kind of an ending then?

I think so. The first three volumes cover the Beacon Arc and have some kind of "open ending". But it is a good point to stop as there has been a kind of break in the series at that point.

Heck no. Well, unless you like bad endings... It ends on a major "the story has just begun and everything up until now was basically the into" kind of cliffhanger.

If you're gonna drop it, best to do so at the end of Volume 2. Volume 3's ending is a huge tone shift. :X

Might be a good time to backup any Rooster Teeth First exclusive videos before they are gone forever.

...Y'know, I should probably be really upset about this because I really liked RWBY... but, nope, just the standard empty feeling, and not even as strong as usual. Could be because the show already died for me several years ago shortly after Monty Oum did (last thing I remember was watching the ending of Volume 5 and going "WOW, this 'big flashy fight' kind of suuuucks!") and this is just the corpse getting decommissioned.

Well... let's see if anyone will bother buying the IP... (And if the old good stuff Rooster Teeth had on Youtube will get deleted- THEN I can be upset.)

I never watched anything from them. That being said, WB is selling the IPs (if I understood it correctly). Given the fact RWBY is pretty big, I don't doubt it will get bought by Netflix, Amazon or something.
