Would you like to see this sort of puzzle every year?
No need to read the replies. They're mostly just a repetition of the same things.
[edit] I reformatted the whole original post, so that you don't have to read anything else [/edit]
The edit in the ITH puzzle itself is there for those who can't bother to read (quoting you) "3 pages of repliies and vague explanations and edits" and (I dare add) the very text of the puzzle itself. Btw that specific edit tells you, once again, where you should look and repeats the only hint you really need (italic+bold).
Anyway, I get the point, thanks for the feedback ;) I guess I'll think of something less "puzzling" next time.

Hey there! I'm late (again) for a cakeday puzzle, so it will be another Xmas puzzle! I hope you've been all safe during this stupidly rough year.
Edit: everything useful (puzzle text/hints/clarifications) is in this post now -> there's no need to read any of the replies.
Puzzle:
The two pictures below are part of the puzzle and related to the matching part.
The characters are from games listed in the 1st picture.
The games you can win are listed in the 2nd picture.
End date: "25th Dec, 2020".
Link to the ITH here.
That's it.
