Well, Double Fine Action Theater made me give Microsoft money (buying an Xbox + Kinect). Double Fine did get a bit of money, but certainly only a small percent. My kids loved it so I'm happy with that purchase.

For myself, Torment: Tides of Numenera had this effect. I don't normally go "shut up and take my money", and I still don't know how the game will end up, but a new Torment is certainly something I'm excited about.

That was exactly my reaction when I heard about the Grim Fandango remake. Hell, all they have to do is release the original game somewhere and I'd add it to my collection.
