How about not entering fake giveaways? ;) Most of them are easily noticeable.

Sorry iPhone glitched and submitted before I was finished typing because the keyboard disappeared and I pushed submit instead of whatever key that should have been there.

check profiles before entering any giveaways for high value items -
if poster has unrecieved items and no recieved items then you know - or if account is very new and comments are low and check the games in their profile.. dont give the trolls your points

what's the worst thing that can happen? you don't receive your gift, submit ticket, they delete giveaway, you get your points back.

I don't necessarily agree with flag #1. One of my giveaways (Darksiders 1) is a game that I did not own (or currently own) that I gave a way because I wanted to focus on some games that I already have. I just gave it away with the intent on buying it (or winning it) in the future.
