There are a few games that get a pretty interesting reboot, but may not be in the favor of many and then there are series that just keep on going, but feel so repetitive and exhausting to play. What franchise would you like to see a reboot on and how would you like them to change?

There needs to be another legacy of Kain game, the way action adventures are developed now would work well with that world. Platforming is better, combat is better, games have come a long way in all the main gameplay points of that series.

I've not yet played the series and I believe that any old game from the early 2000, that was successful back then, should slowly get a rework with today's standard mecanics.

I mostly don't like that most newer titles are not side scrolling. I don't think Mario and depth of field go together (moving towards or backwards from the screen) and I also don't like that it's not "Mario" anymore but "Mario Universe".

Same thing can be said for Sonic but Sonic is a veeeery hurtful conversation as he has 783783673 more problems than Mario has.

Agreed, I don't think there are many Sonic games that were fun and visually appealing at the same time. Mario beats Sonic without a doubt. I need to try the new Mario's honestly as I never gave it a chance since I was a kid.

Imo stay away from Mario if you still think of him as 15-20 years ago.. The closest thing to old Mario is maybe Mario Cart xD

And Sonic had the worst luck yeeeears now.. After the originals everything is going downhill.. And out of the blue he became a racer game!

-The adventure of robin hood,CaptainBlood,Warlords (amiga500)
-Legacy of Kain soul reaver
-Half Life but not VR
-Jax & Daxter, ico, shadow of the colossus
-Alien Vs Predator
-Spyro
-King Kong 2 (based in the release for the old xbox)
-Ken Shiro \ Hokuto No Ken \ First of the north star , but must to be A well done game an adventure same as DBZK or one piece world seeker and not a mousou\pakinko game sadly all games they make about it untl now it's low quality game
-A game about POPEYE but must to be adventure same tomb raider\onepws\dbzk etc.
-The first deus ex but updated in gameplay\graphic\physic
-chrome
-GhostBuster and Back to future but must be adventure very top\high quality
-Kameo elements of power
-Blade of Darkness\Blade of Darkness , i like about this game the fact that you can hit the enemy by choose the direction of the hit
-i dream also, that all Figthing Games ( mortal kombat and killer instinct etc.) will be remaked but by be LIMITED only to can use "BASE moves" i mean WITHOUT any hit\hits.
-a fight game where Robots fight each other,
BUT when they hit other robot lose parts (arms legs etc) and when win will be rewarded with money then with money can buy new body parts\weapons or repair damaged parts (this has existed for amiga but i forget the name)
-Flatout but must to be a 100\10 game quality, the top of the top, better than forza horzon etc.
-Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts but with today "Trailmakers" building engine
-Omikron the nomad soul and messiah (both games have fun about can send the spirit in others people and move them,a little bit same in ghost.10 and some oddworld videogames)
-Riddick

i dream also that Astroneer,EliteDangerous and Nomansky become only 1 single game, where people can do all the things of all 3.

And until little years ago i alwas dream a new tenchu will be maked, but then my dream become true with sekiro shadows die twice, and what is incredible is the game can be played on PC too (not a playstation exclusive) i can't believe it until now :D,the same i can say about elite dangerous i wait an elite for pc for many years and this too i can't believe when i saw the kickstarter i jump on my chair for happness and scream run around my room + outside road too hahahaha.

Oh and a GBA game you might like would be the Medabots game.
You build a robot out of different head, arm, torso, and leg pieces and then enter battle with them (its turn based) and then your parts can break in battle and you will win new parts that you can equip on your medabot.

You get GBA emulators for PC and phone if you are interested in playing that game.

Even when it was new you could really feel where many very simple improvements were needed. "Why can't I just select and order a group of units instead of having to to it one at a time?" "Why to I always have to click 'move' or 'attack' before giving an order when it's obvious what I want from context?" "Why can't it start building the next concrete slab while it's waiting for me to place this one?" "In fact, why not just let me be able to place a queue of concrete slabs in advance and have the construction yard construct and place them by itself in its own time?" and "Why do we even need concrete slabs in this game anyway?"

What really became a bummer for me was not the graphics, but the fact that they were eager to remove key features and factions and add them as DLC's. To the point that the bare bone of the game was having just a few factions. It really felt cash grabby for me.

Unless the new team looks for ways to improve on the mistakes they did in the past. You gotta understand that it's not the same team anymore.

The issue is not who does it, but that Ubisoft just doesn't care and doesn't let any teams have a decent budget while still forcing them to go quickly. Heroes 7 would be a solid game if some money was actually thrown on betatests. But these games' budgets are likely comparable to indies while having no artistic freedom of indies

Tony Hawk's Underground- go the Skate route, get granular and make flip tricks and flatland feel like accomplishments while reintroducing a campy open-world story
SOCOM- lethality, tactics, positioning, teamwork, circle strafe kills. honestly, i think it'd be cool if they did an xcom style spinoff too
Clay Fighter- can you imagine what they could do with stop motion 4k/60fps fighting game in 2022? holy hell it could look cool.
Game Dev Story- honestly, it could be a sequel, but I'd rather have it greatly expanded with a much bigger budget, integrate the idea of influencer deals, product placement, reverse engineering, mock reviews, pc storefront exclusivity deals, console exclusivity deals, handling pr in terms of crunch, harassment, delays, unionization, console wars, indie revivals, and every granular decision that people who are obsessed with the gaming industry would be interested in.

That's all i can think of right now with a decent pitch

Hydro Thunder, or at last a new good arcade racing game with boat
Played Hydro Thunder on PS2, that was a really good experiment for me, good level design and simple to play, hard to master.
Don't play the Reboot in 2010, because of Microsoft / XBOX360 exclusive
I know there Riptide Renegade on steam actually, but that port of a android game + low content (9 tracks only)

Will be really happy to see indie / AAA Games on this theme with a good content and with mod / steamworshop if possible (Mod and steamworshop could make the game live for years and become a masterpiece for me like Ballistic NG or Distance, because of huge / endless content, discover awesome news tracks each month)

Kid Icarus desperately needs a modern day reboot centered around the classic title but in a more open-world / 3D (perhaps 4D? don't ask I'm just the imaginator) environment.

Earthworm Jim also needs a healthy reboot/reimagining. Douglas TenNaple has mentioned a bit ago that they were working on a new project, and I've seen some WIP videos so that might be on the horizon soon.

Bonanza Bros would be a neat idea for a combo wombo co-op stealth heist game. With the environments and buildings that can be rendered these days, there's a limitless possibility for such a simple game.

If Electronic Arts made a Black & White game today, it would be a mobile game knock-off where charging a miracle takes real life hours and you could fast-forward it with their handy-dandy premium currency... just to cast a single Water miracle to make trees (which would also take real life days to grow) grow faster. :)
(If that sounds exaggerated, Dungeon Keeper Mobile proved that no low is too low for them.)

So, yeah, our only hope for a true Black & White spiritual successor are Indie devs. (And that they'll actually put a effort into it to avoid it becoming a horrible disaster like Godus or Idol Hands...)

I agree with you. The thing is that a lot of developing teams risk going with EA or other major publishers because they are promised to get paid at the end of their work.
