Out Run I've not played. Dead Island I have, coop with my wife. Loved it. We have Dying Light, but there was something fun about that game. It's sad the sequel didn't take place any more. I had no idea that Galaga was the game I used to play as a kid. It would be fun, but I don't think it's that difficult nowadays to recreate. Maybe make it more difficult than I remember it to be? π€

-Prince of Persia,
-Crusaders of Might and Magic,
-Duke Nukem (with the original intelligent 3D Realms team with Ken Silverman)
-Heretic
-Need for Speed (Yes, not this name-riding nonsense we have now)
-Unreal Tournament

Many already mentioned, but I'll add a few that would be nice to see again.

Starcraft. (I'm a PC gamer because of this game)
I really like the Starcraft 2 and how it is. I really need to play and finish it. A remake would be awesome! ππ»
Vampire: The Masquerade. But not the current VN line, but the TPS and FPS ones.
Totally, they should not focus on visual novels and just keep the game to it's roots. The new one is coming out, I hope they make a lot of fans happy.
Silent Hill. (This series needs as much love as Resident Evil gets)
Truth! We need more great IP's to return in the new decade with some awesome games.
Blade Runner (Don't know why this is not a huge franchise)
I am not sure either, maybe not many people talk about it yet.
Sanitarium (Remake or reboot of this classic)
Never heard of it, but looks interesting. What was it about?
Black and White (Really original, really good)
Yes! Without a doubt, I want to play more of this game in the future.
Populous (This game was a genre of its own back then. Funny like few others)
Looks like an RTS, what was it about?
F.E.A.R. (Intense and scary)
Yes, without a doubt. I gotta play the entire series. I have heard and know it's going to be good the first 2 at least.
LOTR: Battle for Middle Earth (Really good RTS)
As a fan of the LOTR I agree 100%.
Wing commander ( I just miss the cutscenes. Bring back Mark Hamill. That would be much better than The Last Jedi... much)
It looks like Star Wars Squadrons. Is it similar?
Freedom Force. (Really fun to play. Old fashion superheroes and villains)
This looks a lot like Ultimate Alliance. I really like the series.
Empire Earth. (Crazy RTS. very entertaining)
BIG YES. I grew up loving this series. I want to play them again. π₯°

"Never heard of it, but looks interesting. What was it about?"
It's an isometric P&C, puzzle adventure. A dude wakes in a sanitarium with no idea of his identity and must find out. The plot is weird but the game is relevant because it was really original back then, both with the mechanics, the style, and the narrative, all kinda ahead of its time.
"Looks like an RTS, what was it about?"
Yes, Populous is an RTS but was not a regular one, specially Populous: The beginning. This one is similar to Black and White, both kinda God games, but with a high dose of comedy. Come to think of it, Populous and Black and White might be pretty much in the same style of comedy as Dungeon Keeper. Less known cousins in that regard.
"It looks like Star Wars Squadrons. Is it similar?"
You could say that, but wing commander is really retro, arcade retro, space fight simulation. As said, the cutscenes alone made that series a true classic. High production value for the time.
"This looks a lot like Ultimate Alliance. I really like the series."
Yeah, kinda, but not quite. Freedom Force is a little bit more like an action/puzzle and pays homage to the comics from the silver age. Aesthetically, is unique. Another original game back then. I always thought that if this featured DC or Marvel characters it would be not only a cult classic but venerated by the masses.

Most of them are oldies that have disappeared in the depths of the gaming market. They need a resurrection, story continuation, graphic renewal, and compatibility with WIN 10/11.

I remember playing MDK too, I found it really fun and probably was one of my very first video games at the time. It was such a strange yet interesting game.
Turok I've not played, but I've had a friend who did and I enjoyed watching it. It was so cool.
The rest mentioned I can't recall playing. But I would like to see remakes happening.

There are a few games that get a pretty interesting reboot, but may not be in the favor of many and then there are series that just keep on going, but feel so repetitive and exhausting to play. What franchise would you like to see a reboot on and how would you like them to change?
