I really enjoyed Soldier of Fortune II Retro Helix first mission, reminded me that Robert De Niro movie "Ronin", don't know the dates but seems like It's based on the movie scene at the start. It was the first game where I saw a +1 cartridge when reloading the right way and It felt so cool to watch this for the first time since I was a gun aficionado early on. I just couldnt understand the firing rate tho.It was probably a FPS limitation.
Max Payne 1 still amazing to this day. The subway scenario is so well made, so much detail there. It really feels like a badass film.

I really wish someone would remake 'Stars!' by Mare Crisium (and maybe finish making the sequel). Possibly my favourite game ever, and it hasn't worked properly since windows XP :P

Haunting Grounds: I would love to see this game having the attention it deserves. It's my favourite horror game so I may be biaised, but it treats very interesting themes in the horror genra which tends to be completely silenced those days. Also having a female character that is not a super-power girl but a fragile individual is something that helps a lot with the immersion I think, especially with the themes.
Also, Hewie is just the best dog ever :3
Beyond Good and Evil: Would be enjoyable to see the reboot coming for good one day. I loved the game when I was younger and it always felt like a game that had a lot of potential, too much potential in fact. It never felt like a truly finished game but more like a demo. I would love to see this colorful universe and what it has to offer today. It's so frustrating to see the years pass and the devs being so silent. Still I would love more a BGE remake than a BGE 2 but that's probably nostalgia talking XD
Chrono Trigger: We had Nintendo DS/PC adaptations but never a remake or a reboot. It's really unfortunate cause this RPG is brilliant both in it's design and story (even if the late part becomes boring due to the rythm becoming erratic IMO). Nintendo canceled a fan made game to protect their rights, which was really unfortunate.
DQM: I wish there made more of those games. I wish there was a reboot of this cause this is just too good as a catching monster game and it really have that RPG and shonen feel that tend to dissapear more and more from pokemon games. Also, Toriyama desings. <3

I like that Resident Evil went back and reproduced the old RE series and I do believe companies should pick up Haunting Grounds and Beyond Good and Evil. It would be a beautiful thing to see.\
I am not aware of the other two you've mentioned so I can only wish they would make you and others really happy. 😄

Breath of fire 4. I usually dont like turn based games (especially those games like FF) since they are grindy, but that one has a good story and a lot of features. It left a lasting impression on me ever since i played it.

lucas arts discworld - "anyone get the number of that donkey cart" - was always one of my favourites
Along with Full Throttle, Myst & Riven, and the original syndicate series - which I still have on GOG :O)
oh of course the dungeon keeper games - who didn't love torturing imps :P

Dungeon Siege (like the first two, not the consolised 3)
I thought I may be the only one. I did feel the Dungeon Siege 3 fell off compared to the previous ones. Idk what it was, but I couldn't play for a long time.
Deus Ex (a remakje with better graphics of the first one)
I didn't play them, but I would love more games from them. I only played Human Revolution and I personally liked it. I should play the rest.

Magic Pengel. Although I never actually was able to try the Sequel Graffiti Kingdom, I would LOVE to see this rebooted, especially on PC's with some improved controls/features. Magic Pengel was just so awesome, and when you could successfully bring your cool creatures to life it was an amazing feeling, haha.
Actually, I think it did technically get a reboot with Rakugaki Kingdom for mobile devices in Japan, but upon searching, it sounds like that released in January (and I missed it!) and will be ending service in November... :'(
But would love it so much if it got a real (not just mobile and microtransaction-powered) reboot for PC/consoles globally... <3

Yeah, I just always thought it was so cool. The moves, stats, and animations all generated based on how you drew your monsters. <3
And though most of mine were just really weird looking, I did have one I named Draco (I think? Maybe Drago) that I was so happy with, haha.

For Far Cry it all changed with the 2nd really. But everybody loved the 3rd one. What do you think? How would you change it?
Assassins Creed world map is too big. I've finished Origins after 195 hours and am currently into Odyssey after having over 75 hours. It's massive and I do think it's unnecessary on that behalf. I would like smaller maps, I think it's a better thing to do. But I do love the work they put in creating the world, they do an amazing job at recreating places.

Woud love to get reboot of simpsons hit and run
Also enjoyed Test Drive Unlimited a lot. Would love to see new game in a similar setting. New one is coming, but I don't really have huge hopes.
And can definitely agree with others mentioning Splinter Cell.. Chaos Theory was one of my favorites back then. I just know I never finished the game as it got too difficult for me. New Splinter Cell games are fine - but the older ones had something special to them.

Yes, definitely similar. Played Forza Horizon games only a little, but I liked them. Prices are crazy sadly. Would love to get fourth but only if it gets discounted..
Crew was another I liked a lot that was in similar setting.
Although the original TDU felt more like a simulator then Crew or Forza do. They are both awesome games, but the buying houses, clothes, cars was really well made in the game.. I actually liked TDU2 as well, but even this one is priced rather highly for my liking. Also TDU had really realistic set of cars - older and regular car models.. Audi A3 and TT ... All the driving games seem to focus now on putting either the fastest or most expensive cars in the games... I loved that in TDU you can basically buy only cheaper cars and only way to try out expensive ones are through test drives and those delivery missions until you earn enough money.
In that aspect Forza only has either Audi RS models, BMW M models and so on... I would really love to see a regular 3.0 petrol E60 BMW .. Or Audi A4 from early 2000s ... Test Drive wasn't perfect but really delivered.

this was mostly the appeal of the underground games i'd argue.
what i'd like if you have some oem engine or bodypart swaps. world racing had for some cars 15 different engines which had their own characteristics and some cars in forza have it for bodyparts, but not the engine. id also love stupid modification like downsizing some supercars with some really stupid engines like a i4 999cm³ turbocharged engine or some offroading modification like the crew had as preset for some cars. one of my most played games is pro street ... yeah i know buggy mess and unplayable without patches but you could build on cars like a honda civic non r, standard integra, basic mustang gt or on a golf gti as example ... everyday car racing in my eyes is more enjoyable than race-/supercar everything

Yeah, underground games really made you feel like you could actually be doing that. Not like new NFS games where a "starter" car is Nissan GTR ..
I would loooooove such a game that allows you to swap and mod engines with such creativity. But this seems like another one of those types of games only few people would like so we can hardly expect anything like it.
I loved Pro Street as well - felt authentic.

I love the Horizon games because I can do ridiculous things in ridiculously expensive cars, haha. I can never focus on missions because I'm always just driving around the map doing crazy stunts and stuff, haha. I don't really like the main Forza games because they're too serious for me. :P

Very true what you say. I don't think I've played Simpsons hit and run, I did though play other games similar to that. I can't recall exactly the name, but was Crazy Taxi very similar? Maybe in style, but not the concept.
Splinter Cell doesn't get enough love nowadays from Ubisoft. There's a lot of potentials, what's most difficult is making compelling spy missions that stay immersive all the way.
Comment has been collapsed.
Something of that sort. At least driving.
But it was more like GTA with simpsons graphics. Missions and story was pretty cool. I would even be happy to play the original, dont know where to get it though.
I suppose a "true" spy mission would have rather dark colors to it.. Like Splinter Cell did - it was pretty much black or green... Seeing how everything needs to be either colorful or filled with million details now we don't really get that same feeling because it does not appeal to the masses.

Dang, I think I'm gonna have to try it, too. I've been watching all The Simpsons on Disney+ lately, but I've only made it to season 24 so far.

I just wish Hirez would sell the IP to someone who would actually make use of it

-A proper sequel to Road Rash 4 (the 3DO/PS1 one).
-A new Tomb Raider in the style of Legend, Anniversary, and Underworld.
-A continuation to Sonic Lost World, I'm convinced that gameplay has unexplored potential.
-Another entry in the Metal Gear Rising sub series.
Not sure how well these fit into the reboot category since they're just continuations of abandoned styles in a larger franchise but I wouldn't mind to see these becoming a reality.
Now, when it comes to stuff that hasn't been done.
-A metroidvania spin-off in the DMC franchise, preferably in the DmC reboot universe so we can have some crazy abstract platforming.
-An action adventure game in the King of Fighters universe.
-A classic Sonic game with no breaks between acts, instead of that is just one ridiculously long level that lasts like an hour and takes you through various parts of an island and you have to play multiple times to see all of it because of branching paths.

I've played this back in the late 90's and I had a lot of fun. There's a remake or something already, but I'm not sure how good and fun really. Have a look and try it for yourself, it's called Road Redemption.
-A new Tomb Raider in the style of Legend, Anniversary, and Underworld.
Although this may not happen because the graphic advancement forced the games to look different. It would be maybe a drawgrade graphically speaking if they would go back to the old style of Tomb Raider. I don't remember playing them, but there must have been some elements missing in the new style of game.

Without a doubt. I never really went in the Sonic world, but if they manage to create something worth checking, I would.
-Another entry in the Metal Gear Rising sub series.
Can't go wrong with that. 🤗

I would like to see that, I think it would work interestingly.
-An action adventure game in the King of Fighters universe.
I do think King of Fighters doesn't get enough love. Yes, that would be nice! 😊

A procedurally generated map, like in Minecraft would also help. Imagine if an AI would generate the map with a seamless experience. That would be amazing to see.

I've been hesitant about buying Road Redemption because quite a few of the reviews mention that races aren't as fun and challenging as a real Road Rash. I'll have to get around to trying it out at some point tho, maybe I'll pick it up during the next summer sale.
I wasn't referring to the graphics of the Tomb Raider games, but rather the gameplay and level design. I enjoyed the TR reboot and loved Rise of the Tomb Raider but I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss the more linear nature of older titles and more in depth puzzles. I just love how in TR Anniversary you can go for half an hour without running into any enemy, just taking in the ambiance and trying to figure out a platforming puzzle. I also miss when Lara was more of a quirky psycho willing to gun down an entire troop and then joke about it when talking over the radio with her companions.

The newer one took a more darker approach I can see that. I was thinking that would be an interesting thing to see, maybe more elements from the old will be introduced if they make future ones. They kinda went quiet, or am I not checking the games out? 🤔

From what I remember reading the main series got too expensive to make and Square Enix started to struggle to make back the money in the time frame they were hoping for, hence why they moved Shadow of the Tomb Raider to another studio. No clue if the game did as well as they were aiming for so I wouldn't be surprised if they rebooted the series a fourth time.
The Lara Croft spin-off games seemed to be doing better yet its been some time since the last one so who knows.

I don't think I've met anyone complaining about the game being bad. There was always subject to discussion the older ones if I remember and everybody opinionated themselves, but the most recent 3 entries are actually good. I honestly like Square Enix as a company. They do good games and some of them are dirt cheap.

There are a few games that get a pretty interesting reboot, but may not be in the favor of many and then there are series that just keep on going, but feel so repetitive and exhausting to play. What franchise would you like to see a reboot on and how would you like them to change?
