These are games that could get away with being $5 for a seasonal sale, and would give players good value for their money. Plus it means you can get all your broke friends to spend 5 bucks and you can all have a few weeks of enjoyment in multiplayer.

Other than that, just whatever solid singleplayer games that would be a good deal for $5, meaning any good games at the $10-15 price point now, like:
FTL
Borderlands 1 (For anyone who hasn't yet played it, because they should)
BIT.TRIP CORE
Half-Life 2 (Preferably bundled together or as base + episodes)
Portal 1/2
Left 4 Dead 2

And all of the indie games that are usually at that price point during sales anyway (meaning everything from past Humble Bundles).
