Makes sense. Gambling addiction has been a real thing too, so why not gaming? As long as it gives you dopamine, it can be addictive. Personally I don't think I can get (extremely) addicted to gaming that it would effect my life drastically but I certainly need my computer.

tl,dr; if your gaming makes you forget about real world obligations, you're basically sick and have a gaming disorder and need to pay $$$ for a private clinic somewhere.
