it has nothing to do with greece its just the first time you use a new way to put money into steam they froze market for a few days for security reasons happened to me with my first visa and the first time i used my paypal after that no problems

It's due to your payment method. If you change it, your account will get restricted from community market. However you can make purchases from store.

I dont think thats the problem tho, I change payment methods all the time from bank, paypal or wallet and I have never been restricted on the market (so far)..

Maybe that's cause you have them verified before so switching between them isn't triggering any restrictions due to verified payment?

One can bypass or shorten the 5 days cool down period by manually confirming the credit card. Valve sends two very small amounts of money to your credit card and you have to type the exact two amounts of these transactions on the https://store.steampowered.com/account/verifycard/xxxxxxxxx page and confirm.

I love Valve, they played a major role in keeping PC gaming on the map. Also, that's not a bug, that's by design, you can verify your credit card.

It happened to me as well when I changed my bank. Luckily it wasn't during a sale.
Also, I had to change my phone two weeks ago so I got a 7 day trade cooldown. A few days ago they locked me out of the market al of a sudden because they changed it to 15 days. It felt like getting out of prison and suddenly the law changed and I had to go back to finish the sentence. I guess it's their way of saying happy holidays.
