I never understood people that watch other people play a game for hours. I'd rather play myself. Even less if all they do is making lame jokes all day. If you make jokes about a serious game like The Cat Lady, well, you're retarded (I'm not talking about a joke here and there, only about making fun of the whole game).
It seems that "Long Players" it's a business now, so that's how that idiot makes money. Good for him, he's a smart guy that got several people hooked on a non-interactive box. Speaks a ton about current kids and their mentality.
Personally I think those people should do something with their lives. You can't just sit there watching an idiot play a game for you. Once a month? That's fine. All days? Go ahead and play the game yourself.
There are better ways to deal with depression, and one of them is just getting out of your room and meeting people.

Often times people watch others play video games because they either cannot afford the game or would like to see a bit more than a trailer to check if it's worth the money. And yes while I agree many Let's Players just make stupid jokes, there's quite a few out there that are different very little from Vloggers (Not sure of your opinion on those...) and in my opinion haveing a bit of gameplay going while they talk about their day, or try to start a discussion on something is better than just seeing their face the whole time.
And sure, I'll go talk to all those drug dealers and red-necks around me, I'm sure their pit-bulls and rottweilers won't attack me.

Once upon a time there was an EddyGaming who counted the "bad words" that the said "Let's Player" said in 15 minutes. It were 53. Sometimes the said Youtuber even wanted to say something, then stopped just to put another bad word into the sentence: "Hey cha- Hey fucking chair". The most idiotic thing is that this is the entertainment that kids today want to have, that this is what they want to be. I will never be someone who says "Meh, kids are shit today, BACK THEN IT WAS ALL BETTER" hopefully, but...this is just too bad to watch. And such a guy, a man who does nothing but saying bad words in youtube videos, becomes rich and popular. God, why?
BTW: I am happy to be able to say this on a platform with n- i mean on a forum with nearly no kids. Otherwise I would be hated to death now because "PEWDS IS AUSOME I LUV HIS VIDEOS HAW CAN U SAY ANYTHIN BAD ABOUT THIS GOD, GO AWAY I HATE YOU YOU HAVE NO BRAIN IDIOT HAHHAHAHA I AM SO PRO-ER THAN YOU NOOOB NOB NOOOOB NUB!!". This is my opinion about his fanbase basing on experiences...

Earlier today I came over a friend's house and saw his brother watch pewdiepie. My friend started calling pewdiepie a retard and said "those who watch him are or will end up being like him too." I later got a chance to talk with his brother alone and this is exactly what he told me:
"I like his videos, they lighten up my days. I used to have no friends and felt like a piece of trash all the time, now I can live my day and look forward to his videos. I also make more friends too since there are other kids who watch pewds like I do."
As someone who suffered depression in a brief period of time during middle school, what he said really hit me. If what pewdiepie and/or other LPers do are entertaining those kids and keeping them away from depression, he should be praised for it. His products/ videos might not have the best quality on Youtube or there are other LPers who are better than him in terms of personality or quality, but his works does affect kids positively. Yes, he earns loads of money from doing youtube and whether or not he deserves it is debatable, but eventually it seems like more a win-win situation for both him and his fans.
And about his fans, yes some of them are cray cray. However, if he's one of only few things that help kids get through tough time, it is extremely likely that they would defend him in great capacity and react voluminously to any criticisms against him. Unless there's a way to cure every kid on the planet from depression, feeling like nothing, and identity crisis, it'd still be understandable for pewdiepie's fans to be this "inordinate."
So what do you guys think? I am still not having any prejudice or bias towards him except one fact which is I admire that he entertains and cheers up lots of people, some of them have been having a tough time.
Note: All of this are made based on my personal moral ground. Understandable/ comprehensible acts may or may not mean it's plain wrong or right.
Also: I am hiring a portal 2 test maker for my next giveaway. Post the link of your most well received test and I will contact the person with he most impressive test based on its rating/ number of favorites.
Also also, this can apply to other LPers too. For example: Tobuscus.
Also also also, I do watch let's play (mainly those made by Cryaotic and The Best Friends Zaibatsu). I do watch videos from other channels too but in term of gaming, the two previously mentioned channels are pretty much it. I'm more of a news and science facts guys so reality check and the what if machine, all made by gamespot, are two of my most favorite series on youtube.
