So now I'm conflicted about pewdiepie/ pewdiepie's fans

You know you can take Pewdiepie and replace it with anything with a fandom? Harry Potter, Manchester United, One Direction, Metallica, Twilight, New York Yankees, My Little Pony, Star Wars, Call of Duty.....

I could go on forever.

As a guy who suffered from depression 2 years ago I can say that watching things that you like helps a lot. I totally agree with u, althoough they are earning more money than most people make doing hard work which is kind of unfair, most of the people are just jealous about it, they would do the same for the same amount of money.

PewDiePie making some kids feel better about themselves won't change my opinion on him.

He would be completely okay in my book if it weren't for that forced screaming. It annoys the piss out out me. That's pretty much my only gripe with him.

Also, I don't want to generalise, but from what I've seen so far, his fans (fanboys) tend to be idiots. It really does seem like that's the type of audience he mainly attracts. Granted, a lot of them are children and that probably explains a lot of them.

I've always been live and let die with LP'ers like PewDie (TB on the other hand, I have a bone to pick with him), I don't watch his show nor will I ever, but I understand others find him funny and like him and I can accept that. I am reluctant to make any assessments on his force in the industry, but one thing I think is somewhat safe to say is that LP'ers like him have really helped the indie scene (of course, that raises the question of whether many great games become ostracized simply because a few key LPers don't like it...but I digress)

When I saw him I assumed that his channel was aimed at kids and maybe young teens. It wasn't for me and I don't fit that demographic so I moved on. Good luck to the guy.

I don't like Pewdiepie and what he stands for though. It's nonsensical screaming and faces most of the time without any insightful commentary. Not even funny jokes (as far as I remember). There are better and more entertaining Youtubers out there than him.

PewDiePie is a bad influence for kids, he makes way too many sexual and sick jokes. If I had a son I definitely wouldn't allow him to watch mediocre videos like this.

I really don't know why people think he's "kids" LP. I really enjoy watching him playing just because it helps me to relax and have some fun, forgeting about all the problems and stuff (even tho he screams too much sometimes). So I think the age of veiwer does not matter, only the tastes.

I can't watch pewdiepie. 50% of his content is screaming, and the other 50% is fake stuff.

Anyway, what bothers me is this depression thing. Really? A kid's life is so hard that he gets depressed? How about those kids who don't have what to eat, do they need pills for depression too? Do they need a bad youtuber to make bad videos for them?
Oh, and there is that ADHD thing, when i was a kid ADHD was called BEING A KID. A normal kid must be active, he will hurt himself, he will get in trouble, blaming that on ADHD is just dumb.

I sometimes watch his content, last thing I've watched was impossbile quiz. I got nothing against him.
About Tobuscus, I used to watch his stuff (especially literal trailers) but he's just plain boring now for me.
And yeah, if they help someone get better, that's fine. That might not have been their main goal, but still it's a positive thing.

I don't know, there are lots of LPers who I don't find extremely annoying and that do the same to other people, so I can't really praise him for that, but I guess it could be considered something kinda positive, yes.

I never really understood why people even care what other people watch. "Oh you like [insert hip to hate object]? What a [insert expletive of choice]" It's like you could be having a really nice, friendly conversation with someone then mention that you like pewdie, or ponies, or furries, and all of the sudden it's like their perspective of you changes instantly. How about just judging a person by who they are and not on one thing that they like?

I occasionally watch a vid of his; sometimes find them funny, sometimes find them annoying. Meh, it's a hit or miss. But really, his viewer base is much much too large for you to just throw a blanket statement over everyone just because there's some vocal idiots in the mix. There's vocal idiots in any group that will shame the group as a whole. Why is it still so hard for us to comprehend that they don't represent every single person in that group?

Pewdiepie? Overrated, and "meh" overall. His fans? Utterly insane, and should be kept in constant surveillance communities, because they're whacked, and unpredictable...

I've made my way through youtube let's players...
At first I was just looking for gameplay for games I thought might be nice, and ya'know, didn't wanna get a whole new console if there was just one or two of them I'd even consider getting for it... Went with Necroscope86, a few others, went to things like Tobuscus and Pewdiepie, however after watching enough of their videos it began to bore me quite a bit.
I then moved on to Seananners, Hutch, that whole group... They used to be cool and fun to watch, however in recently days their videos have become extremely short and offer little entertainment, Seananner's laugh is still pretty addictive though.
Now about the only youtubers I frequent are Nerdcubed, CinemaSins, ScreenJunkies, and fairly recently began to watch some of Northernlion's stuff.

And yeah, depression sucks pretty hard, but when you find something that can cheer you up it's always nice. I don't mind if someone's pick-me-up is PewDiePie, playing video games themselves, watching movies... As long as it's not something that could possibly cause them to suffer long term effects such as drugs and alchohol, theft, various other illegal or dangerous activities.
Sure their thing might not be your cup of tea, but there's a little saying perfect for this situation. "To each their own..."
I for one am terrified of heights, and would never do something such as Sky Diving by my own will even if it's exciting for others.
