Arma II 50% Off - Buy for DayZ or not?? [ Giveaway Inside ]

At this point I would say just to wait for the standalone. This if you only want to play DayZ.

You should buy ARMA for ARMA, its a lot more than just DayZ.

Well I haven't played any Arma games, so not the Day-Z mod either but my general understanding is that when the guy that made the mod is making a standalone version of it, that's gonna be much better

You don't actually need to but ARMA II to play DayZ, you only need CO. That said, it's a pretty bad time to buy ARMA II as you say, Summer sales are around the corner, ARMA 3 is coming out soon and DayZ is going standalone.

Personally, I would hold off until the Summer Sales, unless you plan to play with your friends (who already own DayZ I presume?) right now.

I can only say that you must wait for a 75% off in the summer sales or wait for the standalone version. If you konw people actually playing it and want to play it badly then go for it now. Sorry that i'm not too specific but well nothing is worse xD

I'm not going to buy it unless they put 75% it was 50% several times.

DayZ is cool but the Arma II the real game is really cool too.

Remember than you need to have the Combined Operations (core game plus Operation Arrow) to run it. Make sure you don't just buy the core game!

If you're just getting it for DayZ I'd wait for the standalone game.

On a slightly unrelated topic: I cannot find your favorite band for the life of me, whatever you're giving away better be radical!

For Arma2? yes buy it, but for DayZ? no thanks.

Buy arma 3

Apparently the standalone version of DayZ is coming this month. So there's 4 days.
Rather not buy ArmA 2 for DayZ only, it's pretty dead compared to what it was 6 months ago.

I personally do not advise you to buy it to play the mod DayZ as, pulling the conclusions, it is a bug with legs.

Buy it, I made this same decision 6 months ago and I wasn't disappointed. It may be an alpha mod but its truly amazing and what people seem to forget is that it's built of the already completely polished arma 2 engine, yes it has bugs but it plays exactly the same as arma 2 does.

i just bought arma2complete to play dayz with friends. 10/15 bucks aren't that much so it's okay i guess

Wait for the Standalone, the mod is full of cheaters.

It will be on sale again during Summer Sale, make your choice later. It was 75% off on Amazon 1 month ago, Steam will do again 50% or better (66% or 75%).

IMHO DayZ is a little bit overratted. So, if you are not 100% sure, that you want to play it - dont buy Arma II.
