Update: Due to recent site changes it is no longer needed to perform extra steps to avoid winning the same game multiple times. However, many users still have multiple wins in their account, so the appendix below is still relevant.

If you win the same game multiple times and mark the wins as received, you are breaking the rule of this site and are very likely to get a suspension (and if you still continue to do it, get a permanent suspension). You will also be blocked from entering most SGTools-protected giveaways, so better avoid this unpleasant situation. Here's how:

1. Activate the first win, and (assuming success) mark as Received
2. Add a comment in the second win: "I won this game from another giveaway. Please request a new winner. Thanks!"
3. Important: Do not mark the second giveaway as Received or as Not Received. After requesting the giveaway creator to reroll, your part is done. Just forget about it, and of course do not re-gift the key to anyone else and do not activate it on another account. For all intent it's not yours to use and should be assigned a new winner. If the giveaway creator didn't respond in a timely manner you may also mark as Not Received, but leaving giveaway feedback untouched is acceptable too. More info here.
4. To reduce the chances of multiple wins in general, after winning, resync your account (this script can automate this after you mark as received), go over your entries to other giveaways of the game you just won and remove them manually.

Appendix A - How to fix multiple wins

If you previously won the same game multiple times and already marked the wins as received, it's too late to follow the process above. There are however things you can still do to fix the situation. Getting rid of multiple wins is not easy, as it requires some co-operation from at least one of the GA creators. It can be difficult to get co-operation if they're not active on this site any more, or if the they gave a large number of keys. Still, the following procedure is worth a shot:

  1. Buy a Steam gift of the game (the one you won twice).
  2. Contact the first GA creator and explain to him/her that you want to fix your multiple win, and that you'd like to offer them a gift copy of the game so that they can ask for a new winner (reroll). If the GA creator doesn't want to co-operate, try the same with the creator of the second GA. If neither want to co-operate, consider offering them some compensation for their trouble (e.g. a game from their wishlist).

Good luck! Ended

Hello, first of all, happy Christmas.
I want a suggestion from you
Long time win 2 draws equal which suspended me and my SG profile I'm already with the multi win I would like to remove that if I contact one of those who made the draw I ask for a new winner or to elude the draw
I would take the multi win
thanks for your time
I apologize for bothering you here
Sorry for my bad english

Getting rid of multiple wins is not easy, but it should be possible since both GA creators are still active on this site. Here's what you need to do:

Since both users are active, and since both GAs were from a group, I think the chances of you being able to resolve this issue should be pretty high.

Good Luck and Happy Holidays!

To be sure to avoid any multiple wins we should ask SG team to avoid the possibility to create a giveaway for a game already being given away until the giveaway is finished, lol. :-D (just kidding, don't follow that request SG team if you read this please)
Thanks for the clever tips Yirg. ;-)

I can't understand how reroll works. Won a game 1 month ago, did sync many times. And just won same game after reroll (ga created one month ago too)
What should i do?
I can't contact with ga creator in giveaway comments section (for some reason)
What if i mark this as "Not recieved"?

Sync doesn't prevent you from actually being able to win the game.
In this case you must keep trying to contact creator and ask for re-roll, or wait for him to do it by himself.
You can mark Not Received or simply avoid marking anything and nothing should happen to you. If he never re-rolls, it'll end there.

I wouldn't mark as Not Received if the GA creator actually sent the key. No marking anything (while trying to contact him/her) would be a better option in my opinion.

I remember you telling me this before, hence I added the option for both :) still not 100% sure since stuff like this isn't properly clarified on this site and I've been in enough trouble in the past that I'm kind of paranoid about getting suspended for more mistakes.

The official answer from Support is that there are cases where it's ok, it's just that personally it doesn't feel right to me.

As an addendum to Appendix A, support is unable to assist you if the givers are uncooperative. This occured to me and I almost got locked out of ever being able to fix my wins, but in the end it barely worked out (without support help). Thus, fix your multiple wins as soon as possible before the givers become impossible to contact, in which case you might end up with an account that is tainted forever (and subsequently locked out of almost every single SGT giveaway on the site).

Hi!

I am in pretty similar situation as you were. I have ticket made but it has been months since there were any activity :\

This is my situation:

There are my multiple wins? (http://www.sgtools.info/multiple/darkki) I had about 5 multiple wins in 2013 which were all DLC's and i was new to the site (which does not excuse me from it) and got those. Recently i contacted everyone that had done the GA and offered them the game for re-roll plus game(s) for their troubles. Now i only have two left so i only would need to remove one but i cannot reach either of them (other one even blocked me on Steam). I cannot think of anything anymore, i have gone to great lengths with this and even asked other people to try to contact these two but with no success :\

This blocks me from entering "trains", some groups and few other things. Is there anything to be done?

Not as far as I know. That particular detail is extremely senseless and you should try to keep raising awareness about it until something changes. It makes no sense that people are essentially punished forever for something beyond their control.

I find "and of course do not activate or re-gift the key" a bit confusing since you can't activate a key for a game you already have (from the first win). Re-gifting (or selling) is the only thing to avoid doing with it, which I assume is also the only scenario where one would need to refer to Appendix A. I also find it a bit confusing that this connection to Appendix A isn't made here or explained in that section's heading, unless I'm misunderstanding this, in which case the source of confusion lies elsewhere.

That's a very good point. I rephrased to "do not re-gift the key to anyone else and do not activate it on another account". Alt accounts are actually not that uncommon. I think most people use them for card farming, but there are other reasons.

I also added short explanations to the beginning of the OP and beginning of the appendix, to add background and make things more connected. Let me know if it makes more sense now.

Yeah, that's much better (forgot that some people have alt accounts), but is the issue really whether or not you've already marked the wins as received? I thought you could change that at any time, although maybe that feedback is locked in after awhile. If not, the real issue is (of course) simply whether or not the key's been used by anyone.

It's not locked, but as far as I know it is tracked by SGTools, and possibly by SG as well. A valid reason to switch feedback from Received to Not Received is that the key was revoked. Winning a second time isn't a valid reason and may be seen as Misuse of Giveaway Feedback, which is grounds for a permaban by site rules. Better not take the risk and work with the GA creator to get things sorted out.
