I sadly got stuck at level 42 and couldn't level up more so I missed this promo. Thank heavens I got stuck because I just followed a tutorial and didn't understand any shit of the game

Thanks to this trial you can get to know the game well. And yeah, it is kinda grindy but at least I didn't pay 5 euros for it. Otherwise I would have regreted it

Yeah it is really grindy, I bought it myself when it was on sale for 5 and wasn't that bad - guess 5 bucks in the long scheme of things isn't much. I got to like maybe 40 something and haven't played it in a while.

I got stuck a few times(especially for several hours for the awaken questline) because I didn't know what to do - there was just no explanation or something else.

Yup. I picked up a mage because it was supossed to be powerfull and didn't have any single problem grinding until I reached that place. And since I had no ideaon how to upgrade my weapon I left it there

After the revamp it's much better. Funny thing: At the exact same troll/area quest I got stuck with my second char until I interacted with everything near the questtracker to find out I had to speak/interact with 5 different chars(only 2 were shown and 1 of it was 4 parts). But the most annoying was the awakening quest thing. While the 'main' quest was Thirst - I had it active - I didn't know it was based on a suggested quest I NEED to activate and finish separate to complete that one... Man I even watched Youtube vids to see what they do for that and I repeated it(talked to the same NPCs) just to see that there was nothing for me???! Only by accident - browsing the questfolderrows - I found the quest for the awakening... several hours of life wasted for the tiny bit of that! And it wasn't so that I didn't asked in serverchat for help(good thing I got help for the mobquests so I completed them easy and fast) just no real answer to my problem regarding the awakening quest(missleading)...

Don't bother - I bought the game a while back and regret doing so. Huge potential that got fucked over by poor game design and business practices. I bailed out as soon as I got my awakening skills, after which the endless grind had already tired me out from playing anymore, and all it had to offer anymore was more grind in a forced PvP environment.
At this point, the only thing that remains an impressive feature is the character creator, so if you want a "waifu maker" go right ahead. That's the only thing that's remotely amusing once you realize the game is just one big mindless grind. At best, you can have some fun with the combat system and admire the environment for the first few dozen levels.
