They do reply if you email them. The Forum is a shambles. Every time I tried to make a comment I am not sure if the comment is updated as it takes awhile for it to reflect and there was once I accidentally hit backspace out of the commenting area and it removed all my lengthy post I was writing by going back to the previous page. Overall its a hassle to even comment on the forum.

GRRRRR!!! The nerve of them to change my name to "YellowTerrorSpecter". Just checked it out after seeing this thread. I'm some form of "VdoGmr4mCal" everywhere. Here I changed on a whim 3 weeks ago & got stuck with this name for another week
@BauerBoy24 is right. They should've sent some kind of intimation about this. I checked my email & found that there aren't anything about this.

I have a sword for Avatar, well, as least they got the Avatar right. I always like playing Knights and Paladin classes. Hahaha
Its not the 1st time indiegala changes mess up and it usually takes at least couple of days nowadays as I observed recently.
Would I keep it? NO! Will just wait a day or 2 to see if they revert or send out a notification.

They, most likely will not send any email nor say anything thing but they might do some database update after the users reflect the situation to the Support. Thus I'll wait out since nothing seems to have been broken at this stage.
Edit: One reason I did not change too is if I make any changes and since nothing was broken. The changes that I made might or might not affect any changes if indiegala does a database update.

I logged into my account this morning to see that my avatar and nickname had changed to something completely random. Whereas before my avatar was the same as my Steam account it's now an icon of a red bottle and my nickname has changed from BauerBoy24 to GrayTerrorAmulet. I definitely didn't make those changes.
I've reset my password as a precaution and contacted support but is anyone else is experiencing a similar issue?
EDIT: Looks like I'm not the only one. Seems like it would have been good of them to announce this sort of change so people don't think their account was hacked. Anyway, feel free to share your weird nicknames below :D
EDIT 2: I got a response to my email (for anyone that's interested):
I'm just gonna tell them to warn us in the future and leave it at that. I doubt they will, but it's worth a try ;)
EDIT 3: As some people have noticed, they've now added an option to use your steam name and avatar instead of the new name and icon. Looks like the 'Use Steam avatar and Steam username' option is selected by default. Maybe this was a result of all the backlash.
