I understand you: It would be nice to get to 34, or 21 or 13... Ten is a bad thing and eleven would not be much better. I made the mistake of leaving level 5 and now I let it reach 8. Some decade I will make it and let it be!

Leaving a level is always a bad choice. You trade the warm embrace for the insecurity of retroactive bundle status and leveling down again.

I ran into this problem about a year and a half ago. But I was able to overcome it by deleting my steamgifts account and waiting about a year. Now I can level up again and I am happy.
