Assassin's Creed Black Flag Digital Gold Edition work in Sweden ?

Hello!

I have the game Assassin's Creed Black Flag Digital Gold Edition in my inventory. But I wonder if I added the game to my library will it work ok?

it will only not work, if it says so in the description with big red letters

I have contacted steam support and they said "Unfortunately the game will not work if you receive it as a gift."

Why wouldn't it work? Just try it and see for yourself. If it doesn't work, contact Steam support I guess.

That's odd, seems very unlikely.
Have you at least tried to install the game, before asking us/Steam support?

I have not tried that added the game to my library and install it. Maybe if I do that and then the game does not work maybe they will not give me the game back as a gift.

Why do you even want to keep the game as a gift? If it doesn't work for you as a gift, then why would it work for someone else? (Assuming you want to regift the game or something). Just try and see if it works.

Again: Uplay doesn't have any region locks, so I doubt that it is really region locked. The SteamDB entries however doesn't look like they are locked either and it's Steam support that we are talking about. I'd give it a try.

I don't see in steam store any gold edition, but AC4BF Digital Deluxe Edition is available in SE, and RU/CIS version is not giftable at all, so there is no way you could have gotten it. So if you would be able to activate your gift copy on your account then it will work.
You may ask steam support again - sometimes they just answer without actually reading the question...

EDIT: I've found one single AC4BF Digital Gold Edition on steamdb.info and i see no any restrictions.
