How are people solving puzzles in 2-3 minutes? It takes me that long just to spread out the pieces and finish the border, lol.

I am not sure how fast I solved today's jigidi, but its not that big, soo... Also some are using tools to solve it automatically... 😬 That's why I like nonos more in overall... 🤔

But, then, how do you do it? Because if you don't lay them out, the pieces are stacked on top of each other in several layers, making it quite difficult to find the right ones. At least, that's how it works on a laptop, and it's incredibly inconvenient.
In fact, this is the only reason I enjoy solving puzzles online much less than in real life: IRL you can quickly spread all the pieces out on the table, while on this site you can only drag them one at a time.

just start connecting what you can see, if you see no potential connections start grouping the pieces by similar colors until you see something.
For me its fairly common to have dozen + segments being put together that eventually get joined together.
similar to how pro jigsaw folks do it, just no initial flipping needed.

Considering I'm currently on all 4 leaderboards I might try to answer that one by linking my old comment from the times jigidis were way more popular on the site.
As for the second part of your comment the answer is resolution - try opening a jigidi in a window and then fullscreen, now extrapolate to what it would look like in QHD or 4k. Small puzzles are already scattered enough in such high resolutions

This is confusing.
I have 4K screen, and no matter if i open the jigidi in a small browser or in fullscreen, or change my screen resolution to 100 % / 150 % / 200 %, the jigsaw pieces are overlapping in the middle of the screen. The only difference is a lot of empty space around on bigger screen to move the pieces to.

I just checked with Firefox, Chrome and Edge and all work fine for me. Are you checking with a "fresh" puzzle? If you are logged in and started the jigidi it saves the state
Edit: To clarify I'm not stating there's no overlap, just much less as the pieces should cover the entire screen(still a bit more grouped near the center)

I opened two windows, this is how it looks. It automatically zoomes the image a bit in full screen, so you it's not a linear increase in workspace, buy clearly the pieces are spread across a bigger chunk of the screen

As you may or may not know there is a sort of "event" in November call NNN which stands for no nut November which basically means no sexy times
Remember complete both the jigidi and nono as each day may have different giveaways for completing both (only someday's and it will be random days)

So I thought it be funny to do the opposite of that and have nothing but sexy games
Each day a new "adult" game will be locked behind a nonogram or jigidi (both will unlock the same giveaway for that day or maybe different complete both to find out) and while every game might not be directly sex related each one is either banned in the UK (have pages you can't see if you don't add a credit card) or Includes a adult tag like sexual content or nudity - each one runs for 30 days and is an exclusive giveaway to this event - so if you missed a day or two you can still complete other days
