Hello. My favourite villain is Scarecrow.
But well, as you may understand by my name, I also like Two-Face too.
I'm mostly talking about villains that occured in the previous Batman movies, but you can also write about villains in future Batman movies and about any villain in the Batman universe.
No giveaway for you. Go away! :B

Good choice. One thing I love is that most of the villains, like these two, think that they're fighting the good fight - you know, they believe they're the good ones. xD

Come on, you should make a poll for the second best villain. Number one is pretty much set. Not just for batman, for any comic :P

Joker? Well, I expect Joker to win, but as I said, I mostly prefer Scarecrow (because fear can conquer everyone and everything) and also Two-Face (because our destiny depends on pure luck).

But if you face a man/woman who conquer their fear scarecrow will lose. Although in the videogames he was portrayed very well. Two Face is always a very nice villain.

Actually, everyone is supposed to have fears, that's why I'm saying that Scarecrow is the most powerful villain. Still, Batman always wins him. Two-Face should get more appearance time in Batman games. And I want to see this coin flip a lot more times. :D

Do you watch the television program "Gotham" at all? I''m a huge Joker fan, but the portrayals of the Penguin (my favorite - Robin Taylor deserves an Emmy for his performance) and the Riddler on that show are un-freaking-believable!

It all takes place while Bruce Wayne is still a child, right after his parents' death, so there's no Batman or any established villains yet. The main character is James Gordon when he was still a detective, and the story revolves around him and young Bruce Wayne.

The first half of the first season is a little slow, but it's all character development and a build up to the second half of the season, which is absolutely huge. My wife started watching the second season when it started, and she was so hooked she binge-watched the entire first season in a weekend. The way they develop the characters of Oswald Cobblepot and Edward Nygma are just fantastic, and you get to watch them evolve into the villains we know from the comics.

It's by far my favorite TV program. I'd definitely recommend checking out a few episodes to see if you like it. :)

Hard to say. The Joker seem to be getting the best movie adaptations (at least from the perspective of someone who does not read comics), but The Riddler and Scarecrow seems like villains that would have a lot of potential if they were given more time to develop (like in the comics? I really should read some Batman comics at some point).

You played Arkham Knight, so you know you're wrong.

Such a poor "final fight".
Scarecrow: Are you afraid?
Batman: Hmm, now you ask about it, no. I'm fear immune.
Scarecrow: What?
Batman: Now let me punch you.

What happens earlier is so much better.

Batman has fears too. But he can overcome them. That's the true power. Not having any fear at all is rare. But having fears that you can finally overcome when needed, that's really powerful.

Comment has been collapsed.

I think its going to be. Really it has to be, because its kind of the first of a kind, a comic book movie based all around the villains as the main characters.

The first trailer for it was in my books amazing. It gave you enough to let you know who some of the characters are. And the song in it was great. :) Every time I watch it I get a smile on my face. Not many trailers do that to me and everyone of them that has done this to me has been a movie I loved.

Its the same with Deadpool, the first R rated superhero movie, it has to be good and so far everything I have seen of it makes me smile.

Course it could also just be because I'm crazy, but really I think thats besides the fact. :D

Poison Ivy in Arkham Asylum (the character design is so detailed and beautiful!)
Scarecrow was awesome in AA and City
Mark Hamil's portrayal of Joker is AMAZING. He's batshit crazy and a homicidal maniac, but somehow endearing. How does that work out?
(and yes, I know that you were asking about the movies, but I just love the games SO MUCH! ;D)

I love the Batman games too. Well, the last one, not so much - it was full of bugs and Riddler wanted Batman to compete in timed races. :P

Easy. The biggest antagonist of Batman is the one who makes sure he never gets to fulfill his dream of seeing a Gotham free of crime, who thwarts him at every step, who forces him to do things that won't bring him closer to his goals... I'm talking about Batman himself, of course. Seriously, give me a few billion dollars and I'll clean up the city for you. The Joker's not going to break out of my prison.

But if we disregard that, I'm going to be boring and say the Joker. Yin to his yang, and all that.

The problem is that Batman never kills the bad guys, although they still keep escaping and killing more innocent people.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

He actually intentionally kills a person in his very first comic book appearance.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

The main problem for any good comic hero. And most of the villains would deserve death; maybe not a death sentence, just something like "it happened" (like Harvey Dent's death in Nolan's trilogy or what happens at the end of Arkham City).

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

That isn't the problem. The problem is that they keep escaping. In a world where it was impossible to imprison the Joker for life, and it was a given that the Joker couldn't be reformed in any way (let's accept this one as part of the character) Batman would arguably be morally justified in killing the Joker, and it would be quite immoral for him to let the Joker live even though he had no way of saving every future victim the Joker would make. That's the world he lives in if you believe the writers, and so Batman is at best an idiot and at worst someone responsible for a lot of avertable deaths.

But it's ludicrous to assume we couldn't build a prison that would hold the Joker forever, especially if you've got a billionaire with a big motivation for doing so. The only reason the Joker keeps escaping is, of course, comic book logic. If we were allowed to depart from comic book logic, what would happen is that Batman would capture the Joker and he'd stay captured. Or, after enough breakouts, the public would vote to reinstate the death penalty and he'd get executed (which would be justice according to the law, and out of Batman's hands). Batman only looks stupid for his "don't kill" policy because the world he lives in is deliberately contrived to make it impossible.

Go shoot yourself. The 1989 Batman movie is better than Nolan's entire trilogy put together. And Keaton was a better Batman than Bale could even dream of. As for Batman Returns, while I will say it's way too "tim-burtony" to be actually good, it does have three remarkable performances from Michelle Pfeifer, Danny de Vito and especially Christopher Walken :-p.

edit: now that you have edited your post saying something more than 'Lol, GTFO, you're an imbecile.` I can say that Beetlejuice is the only Burton movie I enjoyed, thank you very much for reminding me. Burton was way better as a lunatic than as Wayne.
Now, if you think Burton is the best the movies can get... we're done here.
And thanks again for the 'imbecile'. You just proved my point,

Edit: Keaton (not Burton) was way better....
