I would like to join! I am an achievement hunter / completionist - I've 100% Skyrim & Fallout New Vegas because they are my favorite games, but I try to 100 percent every game I enjoy. I have almost 1k (online) hours on Civ V, and am working towards 100 percent on that one too but with 286 achievements, it is not the easiest goal! I've got a lot of hours and playtime on quite a few games that I enjoy but it isn't because I just leave them open - I actually play them. I've opened almost every game in my Steam library at least once and tried it. I tend to gravitate towards the RPG, puzzle & strategy, and Hidden Object Adventure type games. I've just gotten bored of what I currently have in my library and it definitely feels like time for a new game (which is how I inadvertently discovered this website) so I definitely will play anything I win from here. I only enter GAs with games I'm interested in of course and I've only won one so far (almost put in 1k entries) but I've played it every day pretty much since I got it the other day. It's an adventure type game so it'll be completed very soon and I will have 100 percent on it :) I also have given away one game (but I've only been on the site for a month) and I have a few keys waiting, ready to be given away... I would just like to win more GAs and have some new stuff in my library before I give away the unused key games I have (and I do intend to give away more in the future, whenever I have a spare key, which happens often as a lot of games I acquire don't fit the genres I like to play) :) Thanks for the consideration.

Heya, I'm looking to re-apply!
I was booted a little while ago for failing to get the necessary hours on 'Insurgency' within 30 days (shame on me!) and kinda took a break from steam since. However, I've gotten ~50% of the average playtime on it, along with a few achievements. I also won another game 'The Wizards Lair' in that time, and have sufficient playtime on that as well.
Hope I'll be able to re-join!
P.S. I am also considering getting the latest Humble Bundle. If I do, I'll be sure to drop a couple games in the group!! :D

Are you sure it was actually this group? Because I have 0 record of you ever being in the group, all I can find is the comment I replied on and the request to join the group on Steam (and if you were kicked you shouldn't even be able to request to join as far as I know). If you were ever in the group our group tool database should have you in somewhere but there is simply nothing.

Hi Reforced, had to google what SAM is. Well I didn't. I had my old Borderlands save from non-steam box version and loading it unlocked achievements en-masse, which I wasn't aware of. Then I played the game with different characters to get other achievements.
/edit: got a couple more. I have a free weekend so I'll finish one of the dlcs again. I'll post screenshots this time (as I probably should have in the first place). I will post updates here.

Update: i got some more achievements (frankly, the easier ones as I really can't defeat the final final boss Crawmeraxx no matter how hard I try), also played through the Zombie Island of dr Ned dlc with my low level character for 5-6 hours, finished it and posted screenshots.
Let me know if that's enough or should play Blands some more and post more screenshots (I wouldn't mind it really, I quite like the series, I finished both Borderlands 2 and Tales from Borderlands as well)

I was wondering if I have to do anything if a winner hasn't even touched their win within one month or does that get detected automatically by the website ?
My first 3 GAs for the group (FTL, Ronin & Owlboy) all worked out perfectly with one winner even getting every single achievement in Owlboy but this was my highest profile GA for the group so far so it's rather disappointing to see it go to somebody who apparently does not intend to play it.
The same user has another high profile win overdue which you already seem to be aware of so they'll probably be gone from the group soon anyway but please don't be too easy on the re-invites in general.

I second this. I think the re-invites are fine as they are, IF they are the way I gather they are - A winner must play all of his previous wins prior to rejoining, BUT I would love to see more diligence in banning them/kicking them from the group.

The winner of my game has another untouched win that was past due ~ 2 weeks ago and OriginalMuffin is already on top of it so that seems fine.
To be fair the winner told me he's currently playing another game and will start with mine after he finished that but I thought it was obvious playing another game first doesn't cancel out the 1 month rule. I even had the Playing Appreciated disclaimer in the description :( But I guess 1 out of 4 is still pretty good compared to the general play ratio here on SG.

In my humble opinion - if you don't put this one up, no biggie, you put it up more as a reminder for people who might not notice straight away that it is, in fact, a PA GA. Maybe there are people that think the rules just magically stop to apply if you forget it and leave it out :D

Hi Sundance85! You don't have to do anything, we'll get to them eventually. If you see a giveaway approved and you disagree, you can always report it. As for rejoining, members can only re-join one time and only after playing all rejected giveaways to a good enough level.

Hi, I recently was kicked from this group and I am not sure why, no one sent me a message or anything and to my knowledge I tried and play all the games that I've won... only thing I can think of unless I didn't play them long enough?
I will go through the games that I won, and some reasons why I may have not played them as much as I did.
For Tempest (which I only have 2hrs+ on it) I didn't care that much for that game and that is a reason why I didn't play it that much after trying it for a little over 2 hours.
For Sleeping Dogs (which only 4.8 hours) I really enjoyed this game, and was really liking the story and gameplay, I am not sure why I quit playing the game, but maybe it could have been that I've gotten new games during the winter sale or something?
Reus was a nice little game, and I enjoyed it for being like a god game, but to me it seemed like it was really short, so maybe that Is why I didn't play it that much since didn't want to beat it like in one sitting... and then I think after testing it for a bit I got busy with something else.
Tomb Raider (Had only 5.2 hours) is my most played game that I won, and I enjoyed it so far, and I haven't played any of the tomb raider games before and so far I liked it so much that I want to get the sequel, I think like some of the other games I got busy doing something else and
Grey Goo (which only had 2.4 hours) this game was just an okay RTS, but a reason I decided to quit after having 2.4 hours is that I was stuck on this one part of the campaign which I kept failing and decided to just quit, and haven't touched it since.
If my game time playing these games is in fact the reason why I was kicked from the group then I will try my hardest to play my wins longer and follow the requirements from the group tool, I will then make sure to thank the giveaway creator in the future and also let them know if I have any issues or problems with the game and/or reason why I didn't play it as much.
I also gotten a full-time job (I started the end of january) so my time is more limited then it was before to play games, but I normally have a good 3 to possibly 4 hours after work to play games.

Thanks for the reply, I had a feeling it was maybe that I didn't play a game long enough and after looking at that group tool I had a feeling it was grey goo. I will get to playing that and hope that I can advance in that campaign (maybe try the other campaign if that works better) that was giving issues.

Strange I set it to public but it must have not saved? Also I try to change it through steam app and it doesn't change I am currently working and on my break but when I get home from work later today and get on my main pc I will see if I can set it to public.

I had a similar occurrence as him, and after checking those links it looks like two of the games that I've won I didn't play as much, which was Tomb Raider and Grey Goo.
An Issue I had with grey goo though is I was kind of stuck since this mission that I was on was really difficult and I kept failing it so I just quit the game, so I am wondering for me to rejoin would I have to just play those games longer or something, or what will I have to do?
I did post a post above talking about it and yet got no reply yet, so I am putting this here and hopes of maybe you seeing this so I can know what I can do to possibly rejoin and I will make sure In the future that I follow that group tool and play the games longer then what i've done.

Thank you for the info Yirg. In all the games (except the first one) I have a Playing Score >60/100. I through that was the most important thing because the minimum is 55/100. I think that I'd failed getting the achievements (Q1 second point)? And not warn about my 3 week's vacations.

55 - Minimal acceptable attempt. The winner gave the game a decent attempt, but most likely didn't enjoy it and stopped playing early. If your score is around this number, it’s best that you aim for more because the algorithm is not perfectly accurate, and the approval is still done manually. Better safe than sorry.

He also cheats achievements. I just finished the campaign of Warhammer 40k Space Wolf (which I won from this group) at 37 hours and I have 18 achievements, so I immediately recognised that there's no way he could have 39/39 achievements after 11.1 hours. Sorting by unlock date reveals they were unlocked over a seven hour period in descending order of "% of players". It also has unlocked achievements tied to an event that had ended months earlier, and the tracked statistics are all the exact number required to unlock achievements. Except for one, "Destroy barrels" which is on 0. Yet he has the achievement for destroying 30 barrels, which is a secret achievement with no description to say how to get it.

Same goes for Megapolis as well. They were unlocked over a time period of 2 hours and having played the game myself those achievements look bullshit as hell to me. I don't even think its possible to beat all the levels (especially if it is your first time playing), let alone 100% it in that time span.

how are the new steam privacy option going to affect this group?
will everyone be required to show proof their profile isn't private and that others can see their play time / achievements? (which i hope is enforced)

Rule 1 says "You have and keep a public Steam profile" (Maybe the rule should now be described in more detail.)
So everyone has to reset their profile (and Games) to Public. Otherwise, the PA tool does not work.
If the mods / admins realize that a game is not tracked from the tool, they will surely contact the Person.

Introduction
Playing Appreciated is a group for members that like to play games they win and for giveaway creators that like to see their games getting played. This sounds simple, yet requires committent and dedication from members by filtering out games they like to play from all group giveaways and when won playing those within one month. In return members will get higher chances of winning games they want and creators will know their giveaways have a high chance of getting played. The group has more than 1000 members and over 25000 historical giveaways.
