Playing Appreciated is a group for members that like to play games they win and for giveaway creators that like to see their games getting played. This sounds simple, yet requires committent and dedication from members by filtering out games they like to play from all group giveaways and when won playing those within one month. In return members will get higher chances of winning games they want and creators will know their giveaways have a high chance of getting played. The group has more than 800 members and over 9000 historical giveaways.
More information and a FAQ is available via the Steam group. Current group giveaways can be found here on SteamGifts. Feel free to comment below if you have any questions!

Hi! I would like to join with option 2 and giveaway Day of Infamy. Also i plan on starting to play all my wins one by one starting from the latest(DeerhunterX).
Hi Tulepeeker, joining by giving away Day of Infamy will be fine. I have approved you join request, welcome to the group! :)
Thank you! :D
Considering Im in backlog assassins already this could be another reason to go through my games especially sg won games.
Plus be nice to give away my giveaways to people while will be playing them which will also give motivation to carry on with sg.
I was wondering if I could join with option 1 with club life if I 100% it?
If not I got queens quest which has 2 hours idle time
Hey cece09, simply beating the game is more than enough, but if you want to 100% it I will not stop you :)
Either Club Life or Queen's Quest: Tower of Darkness (like you said, it has 2 hours of idle time) will do fine, just reply back once you finished either one of them.
well i always make sure to 100% my games as much as possible and it wont kill me to finish the whole game i mean whats the point of it if only wanted 1 route.
Ill make sure to reply once i finished it thank you
I do that with mine as well, but I will sure not force anyone to do that if they are not interested in doing so :) You get 2 big thumbs up from me for doing so, not that really helps anything :(
I have finished club life
In that case welcome to the group! Your join request has been approved :)
Hi! I would like to apply by option 1
The game is Go! Go! Nippon! My First Trip to Japan
Actually I started play it yesterday, but only 20 minutes and didn't get any achievements yet (it have 85 🙈), is it okay?
as far as I am aware the achievements for that one only unlock if own DLC for it, do you own any of it? If not I would ask you to please pick a different game.
oh, you are right, I completely forgot about dlcs — that's why it have 85 achievements.. my bad, sorry :|
then can I choose game from my library? (I played all my wins already) — for example, Ken Follett's The Pillars of the Earth (all 3 books)
No worries, since you don't have any achievements and have only played it for 10 minutes you can also go with Luxor, but if you prefer Ken Follett's The Pillars of the Earth we will accept that one as well. Just reply to me whenever you beat one of them :)
you checked :) yep, I'd love to play Luxor, but I can't, sadly. I'm not able to run it properly on my system — it has some flickering problems and I can't see even a menu (not only I have this problem), but maybe someday..
so, I'll reply you as I finish. thanks for your time and have a good day/night!
I got a handly little script that does it for me. I saw that 3 games didn't have achievements, so I took a look at what they were (I know Battle Time has some not so easy to get achievements so I didn't wanna bother with that one). Shame, I hope you get to play it someday :/ I have played it myself and it is pretty nice.
Ok, enjoy The Pillars of the Earth then and have a good day/night as well :)
Hey, I've got a few giveaways planned for old humble games that I'd like to see people actually play instead of just feeding them to the bots, eg. Last Day of June, AER Memories of Old, Oxenfree.
Hi kathryn, sounds good to me! I have approved your join request :)
What is your stance in regards to shared giveaways? If I've joined a shared PA giveaway through whitelist or other group, am I also expected to follow the rule as PA member or is it allowed to assume that I'm joining through other means and therefore I'm exempted from the playing rule regardless of being a member?
Thanks in advance for answering.
If you are indeed a member of a different group/whitelist you won't get kicked if you don't play the giveaway. How it actually works with the group tool: if you play it, then great, it will be approved whenever we think it is played enough, if you don't once it hits day 31 it gets moved to the unfollowed category and absolutely nothing will happen. If it happens that you get a warning anyways for not playing all you need to say is "member of a different group" and you will get a sorry for forgetting to check and bothering you and it will be moved into unfollowed as well.
It's mostly me who bother you without checking :P
Considering you do most of the warnings, well yea :D about that, time to go smash the approve button a little bit :P
Oh, so it doesn't really make sense to make shared giveaways if the GA creator wants the game played. hmmm
It matters if winner does not belong to any other group, then s/he has to play the game :)
Roger. Don't wanna take that risk then. Thanks for the clarification
I don't have an actual percentage for you, but I can tell you that probably +95% of the time they actually get played (also the winner needs to actually be in the other group, just it being a shared giveaway is not enough). There has been a total of 52 games set to unfollowed in almost 2 years this group exists (out of 11,439 total giveaways, shared and non shared) and I know for a fact that at least a couple of those are under unfollowed for different reasons.
You can also do what I tend to do and make the giveaways shared between groups that focus on playing games, so if PA doesn't force them to play another one will :)
Edit: Morikalina 2fast4me
Got it. Thanks MouseWithBeer!
Honestly, I'm kinda disappointed by that. If I was to join a shared giveaway where I'm both a member of PA and some other group(s) and ended up winning, I'd consider it my duty to play the game within a month... because I'm also part of PA.
To me this just sounds like the perfect excuse to weasel out of an established group rule.
I would also prefer it to be mandatory to play but I don't make the rules, I can only express my option and I have done so in the past. But at least I am happy to say that almost everyone ends up playing their wins anyways. I have replied with some numbers to Janediel, not amazingly accurate, but it gives you an idea.
I've sent almost forty games so far and only one has ever been played, even though every giveaway I ask in the description for people to not enter unless they really want to play the game. So I'm all for a group like this. I got games to give away that I want played. So uhh, option 2 on the how to join if you would please.
btw What do games given away through your group average in entries? I'll get at least five each, right; for it to count towards contributor level?
Hi MountainWulf, you are welcome to join with option 2! I have approved your join request :)
The average number of entries per giveaway is 53 according to SG here. From experience I would say it tends to vary quite a lot depending on the game (if it was bundles 283422 times before, is it an asset flip quality of game), the contributor level it is set to and if it is shared with any other groups, but for the most part there should not be any problems getting 5 entries. If not you always have the option to delete the giveaway before it ends.
Heh, out of curiosity checked out your giveaways. Turns out I have won a game from you (Grim Legends The Forsaken Bride) :D And I finished that one within three days ^^
btw. looks like I forgot to say thanks back then :D so, one late thank you for you
