Well, they stopped blaming comics when violence on TV was introduced, they stopped blaming TV when violent video games where introduced(arcade violence is not violence). So all we have to do is wait for another medium to blame.

People tend to like to blame the easiest thing they can think of than to find out the real reason said person does what he does. I am pretty sure that video games wasn't the culprit to killing dozens of children and adults. Most likely the lunatic had some major psychiatric issues that needed resolving by a mental health professional.

You sumed it pretty well. Learn how to raise your child instead of letting TV and PC raise him. If you don't spend time with your kids and teach them the basic values and laws of the society they live in, you are the one to blame. I know that nowadays parents are more preocuppied with work and "career" than taking care of the future generations, but that really needs to change. And seeing that more and more criminals are young or very young men, that needs to change fast.

The problem is not always the PC and the TV. In my case, when i was in high school, i suffered a lot. No one taked me seriously, and no one helped me but my parents. Why i suffered? Because my classmates were the biggest living craps that i ever met.
Now i'm in college and i'm a different person, just because i met different people.

IMO the real problem here is that these people do not know how to change their lives. If someone loves to play videogames days straight with no sleep, they must do something different.
I learned how to play the drums, travelled to other places, met people and listened to different kinds of music.
These people kill themselves and others because they think they are already dead.
We are the solution to that problem. How? TALKING to them, as simple as that. Show them other things in life and they will respond positively.

I do recall hearing about a guy that killed 12? people with a knife in some city somewhere.
This was at like a mall or something, so it wasnt like they were in some RV and he murdered them while they slept.
That takes a lot of conviction to hunt down/ chase down 12 people to stab them to death.
