don't know why the use a plus sign. there's no way that makes sense mathematically for taking two percentages off at the same time. if it's 10% and 25% then 10% + 25% seems like it should mean 35% off, but really it's 100% - (100% - 10%) * (100% - 25%) which is 32.5% and doesn’t contain a single plus sign.
