It's Ubisoft for me. They are courageous enough to create new franchises. (Watch Dogs ,The Crew ,The Division)

good point cept valve dont publish piss-all except hats... and so no, i dont regard a company whos primary output is microtransactions to be a great publisher.

Valve is technically an indie. It only self-publishes. Steam is a distribution platform, not a publishing platform.

Yes this is true I have stated this before and people had trouble understanding what a publisher is.

Who publishes video games is a video game publisher. Doesn't matter how they are made. Also, Valve has some partnerships, with Hidden Path Entertainment for example.

Not true. Some Valve games are published by EA.

Yes, this is true, but since there is no real term for a game dev studio that releases some of their games with the financing of a publisher and some without I prefer calling them an indie studio because aren't most of their games published by themselves? Plus the way Gaben handles things in his company remind me more of an indie studio rather than a studio that uses a publisher.

I don't see how your comment makes sense. Could you please clarify?

In case my comment wasn't clear:
If he's lying about it, he's a troll.
If that's his honest opinion, then he's part of the problem. The problem being that when companies do something that nobody in their right mind would support, some people still support it.

All ballbag companies with an apparent hatred of their customers. It's like choosing between Stalin, Hitler and Pol Pot.

Ubisoft because they're the only ones truly pushing the boundaries (Watch Dogs & The Division). Then EA because they own so many great devs, no matter what you think about them (DICE, PopCap, BioWare). Then Activision-Blizzard because CoD is meh and the only good game Blizzard currently has is SC2.

Activision not many new IP.
EA, great games, shit DRM and don't listen to fan base.
Ubisoft great games, shittiest DRM, and terrible console game ports to PC.

What shit are you saying, Ubisoft is the least horrible definately.
Activision is making DLCs for MW1 and releasing them as 60€ games every year, thats more horrible than Far Cry 3 or Watch dogs if you ask me.

No need to argue about EA being worst.
