I think iam bad in strategy games, entered lot of private/whitelist/group and also level 5 giveaways and i have 4+ months totally nothing. :D
I don't like RTS games.

enter giveaways -> games that i am interested in -> win some -> be gratefull -> give games so i can become a higher leve so i can enter giveaways -> repeat

if you want to enter only wishlisted game GAs and not just any high-chance-to-win GA, then yes, it will take some time to win something, but, at least you will get something that you know you will play
you should join some small groups, like groups limited to 25-30 ppl, where you have to make a non bundled GA every month or so (probably non bundled games are on your list ;))
after half a year of my time here, it came to my mind, that it might be cheaper to just buy games you want, than buy games to give them away here, trying to win something ;P however, I won some good titles here ;)
best chance - try to get on whitelists, those "groups" are usually high-win-chance, and usually, those are good GAs ;)

I simple enter in those that are in my wishlist and in those that gives more than one copy. And hope to have luck.

Do you join all giveaways you see? Is that the reason why some of you won so much in a short period?
No. I enter very few giveaways compared to the majority of users, in fact.

What's the best strategy to win some games you love? Like wishlisted games?
I personally only enter giveaways from the whitelist/groups giveaways section, which sometimes has a wishlisted game, and more often than not, a game I want (my wishlist doesn't contain all of the games I want).

What tools do you use?
SG++, but that's just for the forum and stuff.

Well huh... whatever you want to win? It entirely depends on the person. It's like asking "what is a good meal to eat?" :P

Bottom line? I've been very active on the forum for the past 2 years, in which I somehow earned some kind of "trust" (or is it?), which got me into quite a few groups and whitelists, although I personally don't think I deserve it. As for what and how much giveaways I enter, it's pretty simple, really. I strictly ONLY enter giveaways for games I know I'll want to play. I also mostly only enter giveaways with 100 entries or fewer. I don't exactly enter giveaways daily, but maybe 2-3 times a week.

What I can recommend which could help you win eventually:

1. Be friendly! A friendly user is a likable user, and someone people will respect. (You seem to have this part covered, though)
2. Be generous! If you can afford it, give to the community. Don't just do it for the heck of contributor level, but to make someone happy.
3. Be active! An active forum user will get noticed by the community, and extra big bonus if you got the two previous steps covered. An active, friendly and generous user? Pretty good odds of being added in a few whitelists. You also have more chances of being invited to groups, finding forum giveaway events and threads, etc.
4. Enjoy the community! It's not all about winning. I entered over 1,000 giveaways before my first win, and by that time I was mostly visiting SG for the forum. Steamgifts is more than just a giveaway website, it's also one of the most wonderful community I've known.

And I guess that's pretty much it.

The chances raise if a game you want is in a bundle, there are always many people giving away their bundlegames since they already have them or were just in the bundle with another game they wanted - but thats just a better chance - no guarantee

Don't remember the time I entered a public GA.

I mostly won from groups and puzzles so it's probably that. But now i am a little on slow side right now i have only 7 ga entered. I just want to play my games before entering for more.

there is no way I can win a game with 5k entries

My strategy from lv5 onwards was this:
enter high level giveaways -> win some -> panic at seeing my ratio tumble -> create more giveaways -> level up -> then repeat.

It takes time. Since your lvl 5 it shouldn't be too hard from this point forward

Well, for me best strategy is to check forum discussions marked with [GA'S INSIDE!], join giveaways and then bump the thread.

groups and giveawys in threads - especially puzzles.

Entering giveaways for games I'd like to play, and then praying to RNJesus.

Start with 4 peasants, make them all farm Ps on P Trees around the map.

Create 6 more peasants, make them farm GA Wood, build a GA farm.

Create GA soldiers and rush until you win.
