What's a thread without a poll?
The game actually looks interesting. I've played plenty of VN both hentai and non, and very few have anything different or feel like anything more than porn with extra steps. So, since you said that you're giving it your best, and it includes some puzzle elements, I might just give it a try at some point, for now, have a wishlist ^^
And as to your question to get whitelisted, my favorite game, although probably very common and cliche, is The Witcher 3 for sure. Few games left me sad for a few days after finishing them, and even fewer made me want to play them multiple times. The Wild Hunt did both of those things, my second playthrough was on the hardest difficulty as well to complete all the achievements of the game and although I don't like playing on high difficulties (call me a pleb, I don't care, I'd rather enjoy the game instead of getting frustrated over and over) I still enjoyed it just as much as the first time I played it.

Well, WItcher 3 is such a popular game for a good reason, because it's incredibly good. 😁 I'm a huge fan, but for some reason I never finished it. I just pop in from time to time and get lost doing sidequests, haha. You're on the whitelist!
Thanks a lot for checking out my game and good luck in the giveaways!

I would love to join your whitelist! One of my favorite games is probably Super Mario World. Thanks for the train and bump bump

Bit, bot, I'm totally-absolutely-a human meatbag, not a perfect, superior advanced AI at all. I would love to join your Whitelist
My favourite games are the ones that really hit my entrails with good, touching story. Visual novels, like Fate Stay Night or epics with great story like dragon age origins or Mass Effect
"Most of all, if you have feedback regarding the Steam page" well, not that yo mention it, seriously, there was one thing that bugged me. There is a picture where the word "challenges" on your steam page with two girls, one of them a girl with an Egyptian background, and inmediately after, the next picture is again that same girl. I think you should change it, because having the same girl twice fells like there is not much variety. In your game
Just a friendly heads up

That's some extremely valuable feedback. I'll have to take some better screenshots next time my game can run properly, haha. For now I just increased the distance a bit between the screenshots so the effect wouldn't be so jarring. Can't believe I didn't notice it. =) Thanks so much for letting me know!
You're on the whitelist, of course.

Hey, I just saw this game on Steam! What are the odds?
Also, I would like to join your wishlist, if I can :) Favourite game? Tough one, but I would say Skies of Arcadia. I have very fond memories of playing that game with my brother (even though it is not a co-op game, we would just try different strategies for bosses and enjoy the story together).

Added to wishlist, it has quite a funny title that may catch an eye. Considering your game is a visual novel, i played some games in this genre. I liked the most Saya no uta, probably you have already played it. It was a revelation to me that it is possible to make such a good horror using the visual novel genre. If your whitelist is not full yet, i will appreciate to join it :)

Thank you for the train, can I join your WL? About my favorite game, after all these years still, nothing can beat Portal 2, simply a 10/10 for me. The humour and story of that game are top-notch, plus I'm already a Valve fanboy since I played HL as a kid. Strangely enough, I only rate Portal 1 8/10 tho.

Good luck on your game will sell well!
Having multiple languages should help increase sales, such as German, French, Japanese, Spanish and Chinese.
Note that the price of the low-cost area to set the standard, perhaps slightly higher than the STEAM pricing at the beginning a little bit. This is because many people will go to the low price section to buy games.
Let me into the whitelist ~~ Have a great weekend!

I'm glad to hear that. After the game is released, you can keep an eye on the reviews or forums, there is no shortage of enthusiastic translators for good games. At least I've seen many people who only charge a basic fee or even translate for free.

I would like to join your wishlist. I enjoy playing metroidvania and souls-like games so let's go with Salt and Sanctuary as my favorite one.

Hey, thanks for the train. Being on whitelists is a nice thing. As you want to know something of a favorite game of mine, I'll mention Paint it Back. It has just so much value and is the best time killer for any kind of situations. ou have to be into Picross though.

First of all, i wishlisted your game, not my favourite type but it looks good :P will look into it^^.
Thank you for the giveaways and your kindness, i appreciate that!
Of all the games you mentioned, I love Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. The mechanics are incredible, very well implemented. I love getting lost on the map, getting skills and feeling the difficulty of the game.
In addition, the visual and artistic design is incredible :D

From what I've seen in the trailer it looks like an interesting VN, I'm kind of a sucker for horny anime comedies already so as long as the jokes land it should be up my alley, also quite impressive for a one man project. Did you make all the assets by yourself?
Thanks for the train, bump!
BTW I think I'm gonna identify as an emotionless giveaway seeking missile from now on XD

It's the first time I'm writing something that will get published, so if some of the jokes end up landing for you it would make my day, hahaha.
I appreciate the compliments, but the UI and some other graphical assets are created by me, while the anime girls and backgrounds were AI generated, then edited by me—
—whoops, there goes an open can of worms... You can make your own mind about it, but as I've said to someone before, this is only because I wouldn't have had the opportunity to make the game at all otherwise. I'm really not looking to get into debates regarding the technology. 😅
Good luck in all the giveaways you intend to join!
By the way, I remember seeing your comments on many threads years ago and I was surprised you weren't on my whitelist already, but you are now. :)

In my eyes AI art generators are just as much of a valid tool as photoshop can be, I can still remember how back in the day there was a whole discussion about if digital art was cheating, so the current debate sounds a bit like a repeat. It still needs skill in order to get good results, something I realized as soon as I dabbled into it a few months back during that christmas space cat event here, it's just that AI can pop results into being quite quickly so people start panicking about the end of artists. Is not like you pressed a big red button that said "make VN" and a machine coughed a brand new game already burned into a disk in a case with cover art and a blurb in the back :P
It's just that AI really struggles to make art in the artstyles I ask from it, otherwise I'd be using it daily.
Whenever I hearread that people here recognize me it feels a bit odd, despite frequenting this forum pretty much daily for almost a decade I still feel like a lurker, then I remember that I haven't been an online lurker since the 2000's.
Thanks for the blue heart :)

I remember you being pretty active, and your 12k+ comments attest to that, so it's not such an anomaly that people recognize you. :P
I also know what you mean with the "make VN" thing, haha, but it's hard to explain it to someone who hasn't done anything with AI.. And, in the end, explaining it wouldn't really serve a purpose.
It took me a few weeks just to get the characters stills done well, then most of the art was touched-up and redrawn in some places in Photoshop because it still looked pretty bad. Since I created the characters technology has improved a lot and nowadays I could probably make them much better looking, but there's no time to get stuck in the loop of constantly remaking them, lol.
However, I understand what people are saying and why they might disapprove of this technology, even though I don't think this will be the end of traditional art. I guess we'll see.
In any case, thanks for the support! I was a little worried about this whole aspect of my game, but in the end I decided that I'd rather face criticism for what I did rather than not be criticized because I didn't do anything. 😁

Bump and thanks for the ride!
I'm not into the whole monster girl anime genre, but it looks really well-made for what it is, so I wishlisted and followed to (maybe) give it more visibility. Good luck and congrats!

Hello, wonderful people of Steamgifts!
I've been collecting keys for the last years, wondering when to turn them into giveaways.
Now that I'm working on a game of my own, this sounded to me like a great excuse to give out some games, ask for some feedback and maybe even a little help overcoming some release related challenges.
The game is called 'Is It Wrong To Try To Rescue Monster Girls From The Inquisition?' and, as you can probably tell from the title, it's a silly spoof/comedy anime game about rescuing monster girls in a fantasy world.
The original release date was going to be in May, but I'm still working out some kinks in the visual novel engine, so the actual release date is more realistically somewhere in the first half of June.
To address some potential questions about the game:
Every other detail should be on the Steam page, but I'd be happy to address any question you might have here, so leave them below.
Most of all, if you have feedback regarding the Steam page I'd be even happier to take it into consideration. Whatever you think should improve, what other things you would expect from the game, etc.
Again, it's my first time doing... pretty much anything you're seeing on that page and will see in-game. So I'm certain there are lots of things to improve and I'm eager to improve them!
Steam page here!
Steam's algorithm for burying cheap low-effort games works better than ever for them, but it comes with disadvantages for people like me with basically 3 friends whom I could ask to wishlist and/or buy and review my game, which is why... I'm in dire need of some help.
My appreciation would be immeasurable if you could add my game to your wishlists! It might help if you did it even if you do not necessarily plan to purchase it on release.
Thank you so much!
Now... Put on your gym wear because it's time for some train-ing! (awful pun)
A total of 80 games, 7 of which are whitelist only, while the rest are levels 0 through 3.
To get on the train just remove the mistake from the link: https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/MQdmistake3U/
My current whitelist is relatively small and many people on there aren't active anymore, so I'll give you a chance to join and maybe grab one of the following games.
I selected some games that I like and some that have somewhat of a connection with my own game. So if you like any of these, we already have something in common, hurray!
Amnesia: Rebirth | Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night | Hiveswap Friendsim | Katana Zero | Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae | NOT FOR BROADCAST | Paradise Killer
If you want to join the whitelist just leave a comment mentioning you want to join and... I don't know, maybe tell me something about a favorite game of yours, so I can tell you're a real human and not an emotionless giveaway seeking missile.
These giveaways will run for about two weeks, so everyone should have a fair chance of entering and winning something. There should not be any region restricted nor activated keys as far as I am aware, but please allow for a degree of error. Most of these keys are pretty old.
Enjoy the games and best of luck, everyone!
But let's not forget that a thread is just a potato without a TL;DR, so here's one kept to a respectable number of words:
I make game.
Launch? Soon.
Feedback? Please.
Wishlist? Please.
Giveaways? Above.
Whitelist? Ask.
Hotel? Come on, this joke is too old now.
