I can't find many reviews about it, just text based ones, would really prefer to see video ones that shows the monitor in use.

I mainly want to know if this is gonna be decent to do gaming on. I've heard IPS monitors are not that great for gaming, but very good for pretty much everything else. I mainly play FPS and Racing games, 2 genres that usually have lots of fast moving stuff. But I do some video editing, photoshop editing, watch movies and stuff like that on it.

So what do you guys think of the monitor? And if I get enough replies, I might do a giveaway of something.

27 inches is too much for that resolution, the pixel size is too big, ideal is 24 inches for 1920x1080.

IPS is perfect for gaming, take a look at Dell monitors too, they have IPS panels and are very good. I recommend you this site: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/

IPS is good only if the response time is fast and the input lag is low.

Actually no, I'll debate on that. I prefer IPS myself, but I've owned TN panels the most. Response time isn't really noticeable over 7ms, and it really won't matter unless you play competitively ALL THE TIME on games like CS:GO. Seriously. IPS is vastly superior in terms of color depth, clarity, and overall picture vibrance, and whenever possible, I reccomend it over TN, except for budget gamers, in which there's great budget options available.

I'm never too fussed with matching size with resolution. I've got my laptop plugged into a 32 inch TV running 1920x1080 and it's just fine for me. Of course if you're looking for best picture or whatever then follow someone else's advice. If you listen to me then GO AS BIG AS YOU CAN! Also this is in my bedroom so I play games in bed :3

You realize that the larger the size of the display at a certain resolution, the more stretched a picture is going to look, right? That size may work for you since you play from your bed, but if he's going to be using this at a desk, it's not reccomended in the slightest to go higher than 24" for 1080p.

IPS panels are good for gaming, they only get a bad rap because of the 5ms is the lowest they've gone in terms of response time.
I'd only get that monitor if you're going to downsample to 2560 x 1440, if not just go with a lower price recommended 24 inch 1080p panel.
Or if you really really want a good monitor just get a 120-144hz monitor.

Seconded, for 1080p you should really go 24 inches, unless you are indeed downsampling.

Got one now and I like it, but for the most part I don't care about brand as long as it has some good reviews behind it.

Would love one that size, but it would never fit on my desk and I don't have the money for it anyway.

Well looks like the majority say no to this monitor, today was my last day to get it at this price anyway. So I can wait for more sales.

Thanks anyway.
