Any game that fully supports a controller should be fine, as long as you don't feel obliged to exercise your arms on the elliptical at the same time. Switch Steam to big screen and go get them.

I have a laptop so I just connect my TV to it using a HDMI cable and use a Xbox controller to play games from my couch. Just keep your balance and you'll be fine I'm guessing lolz.
OR
Get an Oculus Rift, Virtuix Omni, and controller and that'll be all the exercise you'll need. XD

Check Lenovo. $800 for a laptop with i7-3630QM, 8GB RAM, and GT750M.
Also, Omni is the future of America. Once Omni goes retail, say goodbye to obesity as all the fat kids starts running around in Skyrim and COD and all those games instead of just using a controller or WASD to move around. XD

Highly doubt the fat kids will get thin, it's gotta be dirt ass cheap for that to happen.

Isn't keeping fit what you want? By buying that, I can guaranteed you will loose weight (in your wallet).

If you can workout handsfree then you could use a gamepad/joystick or a portable gaming console.
And I belive you can connect your TV to your video card to make it act as a monitor, but obviously both devices must support that... I belive the port is called HDMI.
About what games to play... I personally would suggest casual-like games... Audiosurf, Portal 2, and etc, stuff that you can do without needing to be focused to play properly and won't make you stop the cardio to go through the level or whatever.

I'm an organist, you can do things easily. Try doing the simplier things (for me it's playing bass with my feets) first and then try to do other things really slow and then try to do them faster. Took me about 2 hours to semi-master it when I first started playing

I have a Wii and Kinect and use both of those. I also used to use an exercise bike while playing games with a controller for some cardio. Now that I play League of Legends, I incorporate working out into the game. While the game loads I do sit-ups, push-ups or lift weights. After a game, I do the same, normally depending on how many times I died.

Watch Spongebob Squarepants while exercising. And your brain will slowly implode from the dumbness,

I used to play Skyrim on the Xbox running on the spot whenever I sprinted. With 400 stamina and a quick recharge time, I got tired soon. q.q

Well, my sister have a Wii, and when i used to play the boxing game (for 60-90 min straight) it was a good work out. Buy by play i meant standing up and jumping around like a retarded, no sitting down and slowly moveing my hands/arms.

This works best. I thought I couldn't lose any more weight, but then I played videogames about doing exercise and now I'm a fully fledged FBI Special Agent Agent Agentson.

I've been doing it for years. All you need is a controller, really.

My dad plays World of Warcraft and Tanks while running on his treadmill (he's got all the keyboard/mouse/computer stuff set up actually on the treadmill). It works for him, but I personally can't do it, though that might be because of a massive height difference.

If you can have your hands free get a wireless xbox controller and play stuff like binding of isaac, super meat boy, they bleed pixels, etc.

IMO get a cheap stationary bike and play while doing that. It's possible on the elliptical but you'll be moving up and down and I've always felt compelled to grab the handles on those things. :P
I had a friend who said his dad rigged up an old mountain bike to use as a stationary bike. I never saw it, but I imagine it's not too hard -- just a matter of removing the wheels and making a stand of some sort to elevate it from the ground while making sure it doesn't interfere with the pedals. If you're into projects like that, picking up a used bicycle at a yardsale or something would be much cheaper than buying an actual stationary bike.

I have an elliptical machine thingy and I grew tired of watching movies while working out.
And I really do need to do cardio on a daily basis.
Been wondering - Think its possible to play video games while working out?
Ever done it?
How? Keyboard? Mouse? Gamepad?
What kind of games?
Is it possible to stream my PC games to my livingroom TV??
Maybe I should try and get a hand held gaming system?
Will my brain explode from trying to click buttons and move my feet at the same time?!
SO MANY QUESTIONS NYARRG!
