Minecraft in Steamgifts?

Hello!
I saw in the Latest winners a guy who has won Minecraft in a private giveaway, but this game is not available in Steam. Are there other non-steam games tha can be giveawayed?

No. At the moment, Minecraft is the only non-Steam game in the giveaway library.

Let's hope that will happen with every game that can be activated by key, like origin's games.

The big trouble that I see with that is the requirement of signing up for other services to receive those kind of things. This is, as often pointed out, a steam based site. We use the steam login and the game list is drawn from steam itself, assuming the use of the steam gift system to deliver on the things people win.

If Origin were added, it would add a rather fair amount of coding and confusion as people would then need to sign up for both Steam and Origin (GMG, GoG, etc etc...) I have no problem with people giving each other games from other sources, but it would get pretty messy trying to do it all here.
