i play Little Nemo: The Dream Master every few years. i think its my favorite game from nes. ill think of the movie then think of the game and how
"epic" the "graphics" were, and bust out my box of consoles. i definitely get the most nostalgia from it and warm fuzzys.

As you have Albion Prelude you might like the new X3: Farnham's Legacy. Not many games get a new expansion after such a long time.

I don't have such a thing. Once I'm done with a game, I'm done, no matter how much I liked it.

+1.
Though I suppose I could answer with "generic Artifex Mundi HOG." It's not a specific game I replay, but when I just want a break or a "comfort game," I may play one of the many HOGs in my backlog.

I don't think I have a specific game I come back to but if I don't feel like learning something new but wanna play something regardless I tend to default to either a 2D platformer or racing game, I can get stuck only playing variants of those two genres for months (with the occasional puzzle game that I burn through in a couple of days).

Saints Row 2, 3, & 4 are that for me. also Dishonored and the original Mass Effect Trilogy. the Outer Worlds might have been elevated to that status cos recently i did a replay and had a great time.
I love Yakuza 0 too! but it's too time-intensive for me, I get super wrapped up in it and next thing i know i've played it six hours a day every day -__-

Any Harvest Moon game, the nostalgia and relaxing gameplay just warms my heart

Weirdly enough, Crusader Kings. I played so much that I learned to play whether I was drunk or stoned, so, I can kind of just go on autopilot and enjoy myself. It's my "there's nothing else to play right now" game and I always have it installed.

And by that I mean a game to which you can come back and enjoy it every time.
I finished the Yakuza series some time ago, but just recetly decided to play Yakuza 0 once again. And that's my "comfort zone" game. I love everything about this title... great, touching story, hilarious substories, enjoyable minigames, awesome fighting styles, Majima ♥
I even learned how to play Mahjong specifically for the completion list in Yakuza 0 and now I really like it, heh!
So, what's your "comfort zone" game?
