How can I check if the winner already owns 1 DLC ???

I didn't see any option in steam but I see my own DLC's.

Thanks.

You can not. Only some DLC's are listed in the library. Not many.

If the winner already own any DLC, winner can't add DLC to wishlist.

Look above ;) (Or below I guess if you're not using SG+)

Steam generally doesn't list them in the library.

If it is an inventory item, send the user a friend request. Once they have accepted, go to your inventory and send it to the user. If they own the DLC, Steam will show it.

With a key, well you can't check unfortunately. :(

This, but instead of sending, go to dlc store page and look for him in "friends already own this game:"

Holy damn, why didn't I think of that? That would even work for keys. :D

Yeah, well, I have enough Steam friends as it is. Don't want any more people who I don't even know.

Remove afterwards. Problem solved.

I prefer adding them as I don't trust people to notice emails and do everything they should. If they haven't noticed my friend request in a week, then it is their own damn problem.

Just delete him after sending the key :p

Exactly. That means I don't have to check anyone's profile. I trust people who enter my giveaways.

It's possible to do this without owning the dlc and without checking the store page (as the store page only shows a limited amount of users who own it and doesn't display everyone, even if you try to check for all friends who own this game).

Add DLC to your cart. Purchase as Gift. Send gift through steam. Check. Voilà.

Oh right, you can do that before finalizing the purchase. Thanks for the tip.

You can check, with most stuff. Send a friend invite and then try to gift DIRECTLY through steam. Not to email. The list it shows you SHOULD mark whether they own it or not.

I wouldn't suggest checking the Steam Store pages that others have mentioned as it does not work every time. The store doesn't show that I or anyone else on my list owns these DLC despite them being included in Dead Island GOTY.

If you add them and send the gift that way, it does indicate which people already own Dead Island GOTY and even those who only have Dead Island. As such, this method is obviously much more effective.

As Rinarin said, you can check if anyone on your friend's list has any game, even if their profile is private.

Add the game to cart, select "Purchase as a Gift", then do "Send my gift directly through Steam". It will display your friends and it will have a note if the person owns the game.

Then delete it from your shopping cart.
