Skater XL and SESSION are pretty decent IMO.
Nothing close to something mainstream like Tony Hawk or Skate, but they are still pretty decent.

I got session the other day 90% off before it was removed from voidu. It is very complex and a little bit more hardcore than i thought it would be. I have only played a couple of hours im waiting for the 1.0 in September but what i played i enjoyed.

The trailer for Skate 4 looks pretty good, especially for an EARLY Pre Alpha?? TBH I'm not sure how much of what's being shown is actual gameplay though.
Both SkaterXL and SESSION look good and both have great reviews. Just curious what are your exact issues for not liking them?

I think it needs long time to release. But better than nothing. I hope they show it in July in a showcase. :)
Sure, because the system core gameplay is amazing.
BUT the dev are laaaaaaaaazy. Exept the first map and core mechanics. The rest is completly from modder. The devs doing NOTHING
The 1.0 forced release incl modder content and the physics is in vanilla game still broken and bugs incl.
SESSION bought by Nacon, they force now the Vers. 1.0
It's faaar awway from 1.0 and they remove grabs + vert skateboarding as features.
Oh and feels from patch to patch extremly experimental.
Both had so much potential, but much things destroyed that.
I hope SKATE going to be a good game. We know it's EA...

look at the way the session devs deliver updates, look at how they write their patch notes.. you can tell the devs are the kind of people with big ambitions but none of the motivation.. i have been following the game since 2020.. looks like barely anything has changed.. and look at their post about getting published by nacon.. if you believe them and how 'nacon put out a roadmap for them', it's quite possible that they didnt manage to fulfill the expectations in time, and had to rush out 1.0
