I say Dishonored. I liked the setting more and it just seemed more stealth oriented than Deus EX HR(Haven't played Directors Cut though which I hear reworked stealth)

You can definitely play stealth in Deus Ex. I went through with no kill/no alarm. Except during tutorial. Screw that tutorial.

I played alot of Stealth game, I think Deus Ex is one of the more causal ones when it comes to stealth, of course stealth is important part of the game, and really good, but the stealth mechanics are really casual ones, but it's the good part, if stealth was more complex in the game, it wouldn't really fir and won't be as good.

When I played it I was in a mood of brute force, not stealth, and it is less important in Deus Ex

*Dishonored may have more stealth elements, but the environment just doesn't seem interesting to me. So I would say, Deus Ex and I think Deus Ex has a longer play time.
FTFY and wipe that shit eating grin off your face.

Deus Ex amazing game with awesome setting. You always have choice how to play. But, being silent, using vents, hacking cameras, turrets, PC's, reading emails for passwords and ets, much more interesting. While you hacking, you can look around for enemies, game will not be paused. Also, Adam Jensen have implants, which you can upgrade, getting new abilities and ways to play. There's one small story DLC, which doesn't have anything new, but still interesting for Deus Ex fans for it's gameplay

Deus Ex HR is ok, but the boss fights were just elbowed in there to fill it out, so those that choose stealth will be fucked over by them.
Dishonoured is ok, and pretty, but tedious IMO.

Unfortunately this. With the typhoon, boss fights lasted about 10 seconds >__<
An uncharacteristic mar on an otherwise amazing game.

Deus Ex because story is deeper. As for recomendations, they are Manhunt and Hitman Blood Money

I have no experience with either Deus Ex HR or Dishonored, but I will recommend that Mark of the Ninja you have sitting in your list of games as a great stealth game. Definitely a worthwhile game for me (to the point that I wanted to--and enjoyed--100%'ing it).

Deus Ex has superior stealth in my opinion! I mean, I've played through it multiple times and never did I use a gun except in boss fights! Plus there are multiple ways to enter critical areas, such as sneak in, shoot your way in or sometimes even use the CASIE implant to have your way! Plenty of conversations and e-books to inform the player on what's going on in the Deus Ex world! Characters are interesting and you'll actually like some of them(cannot say the same for Dishonored)!
Dishonored is also a good game, sometimes reminding you of BioShock(which is yet another good game!) Abilities and Weapons are interesting here too! However, there is no reward for stealth, except in non-lethal playthroughs, where you would rather not alert enemies! The campaign is very short and may take about 6-7 hrs on you first playthrough!
Stealth is better in Deus Ex HR hands down! There's even an achievement "Foxiest of the Hounds" which is awarded for completing the game without setting off an alarm! That achievement is a reference to yet another great stealth game!

I honestly didn't like Dishonored very much, mainly because they give you so much power that you could blast your way through every mission with little consequence so long as you make the right "moral choices."
Human Revolution, on the other hand, challenges you by giving you useful abilities at a slower pace, and even with those you can get in a pretty bad way if you screw up. It's also a longer game, if that helps.

Deus Ex HR because the stealth is more satisfying. Both have several paths and routes to accomplish your objective, and both have great atmosphere. Dishonored has more of a "cinematic" gameplay, you feel like an extremely badass ninja. You can be a silent assassin popping from the shadows to take down foes or ambushing them after sneaking along rooftops. However Deus Ex's stealth feels more "worth it". Sneaking through undetected means also using the environment to your advantage, hacking terminals, avoiding cameras and staying out of sight range of turrets, robots, etc. In addition, the strongest story-wise I feel is Deus Ex. It's modern without being too futuristic, and is easy to get engrossed in because of that realism.
Anyway, just go with whichever seems more your style. They are both fantastic games.

Deus Ex, simply because peeking around corners and powers are OP in Dishonored. Achievement wise, Deus Ex will have more attainable but missable achievements while Dishonored have fast playthrough on missed and luck based achievements.
Story wise, Deus Ex is better in my opinion.

Played both. Deus Ex HR > Dishonored. Dishonored is a good game but more combat orientated that stealth.

Tough one. I think Dishonored was better, but go with whatever setting you prefer at the moment

I really enjoyed both of them. Deus Ex has a better story but I think I found Dishonored slightly more fun. In terms of stealth I would say there are parts of Deus Ex that require stealth if your not playing that way already but all of Dishonored can be done without stealth.

Like people said before, Dishonored has less interesting and much shorter story, also it's more action oriented, but stealthing there can be fast and you can feel yourself like a truly silent assassin, although you don't have to kill anyone at all.
Deus Ex, on the other hand, gives more opportunities for a stealth approach but also requires a bit more patience. And also it has boss fights with no stealth option, yeah (but I bought DX:HR Director's Cut with a 75% discount because I own basic DX:HR and The Missing Link, and you can win boss fights there in a more stealthy way).
So basically it's a choice between fast gameplay, amazing graphic style and dark steampunk (Dishonored) and more tactical gameplay, somewhat deep storyline and extremely beautiful hi-tech Renaissance style (Deus Ex: Human Revolution). But if we are talking only about stealth factor, I'd say Deus Ex is better.

I played both. Deus Ex HR was the better game*. Incredible setting, and the gameplay is rather tactical. It reminded me somewhat of the first three Splinter Cell games (up to Chaos Theory), but with way more depth to it (I guess the RPG elements and the somewhat semi-open world are responsible for this.) I also found the story in Deus Ex way more interesting and engaging compared to Dishonored. If you're a science fiction fan, definitely go for Deus Ex.
If you like a fantasy setting more and want to be able to just slaughter everyone if you don't want to go stealth, then Dishonored might be better. Or if graphics are very important to you; Deus Ex doesn't look bad or anything, but Dishonored does have better graphics in comparison.
(When I say "the better game" that doesn't mean that Dishonored was bad. Both are incredible games, it's just that for me, Deus Ex is freaking epic and Dishonored "just" very good.)

Not sure why, but I'm in the mood for a stealth game. Based on their achievements at least, which are important to me, both of these games seem to encourage stealth. I'm normally too impatient for stealth games, so there's a very realistic chance I'll give up if the going gets rough... but I own both of these games so why the frack not.
In terms of stealth gameplay (with a dash of your opinions of the games in general), which game would you recommend I play?
