I tried Deus Ex, couldn't get into it stopped playing it in around 40 mins. The setting, the third person view, the learning curve... there was something off with the game. Dishonored on the other hand is an amazing game with great setting, polished gameplay and a strong (a bit too simple) storyline. I played through the game 4-5 times and because you can approach a level in many ways the pool of options is endless. Also Dishonored probably the two best DLC's I've ever played.

I won Human Revolution 3 times. 1 original release on stealth, 2nd one Director's Cut on no-kill/stealth, 3rd time Director's Cut New Game+ allowing myself to shot and kill and get alarms etc (turned out, for a game with no-kills-policy, DEHR doesn't have broken fights-system).
Dishonored, just one stealth playthrough and doesn't look like I'll be back for more.

It depends which story line you prefer. Each can be played with stealth, or not. Each can be played with kills or not. Each can be played with melee weapons only or with firearms (kill playthrough, clearly). In a nut shell, each can be played almost exactly the same. If I were you, then, I would make my choice based on whichever story intrigues you more.
Deus Ex is very deep and has a great deal of social commentary. If you have played any Deus Ex in the past (mainly the original as Invisible War was meh at best) then you know this game enables the player to make difficult decisions that can ultimately change the fate of humanity. I could go on about this forever, but I really don't want to give any spoilers, so I'll leave it at this.
Dishonored had a Thief-like feel to me. Even though it's not set in the past, the architecture, royalty, and overall feel makes it seem like it's in a futurific past - is that even possible?! While there is a story, it's not really a unique one. Don't get me wrong, I own and have beaten both games and love both of them, but this one can be played more carefree and lighthearted in my opinion.
So, red or blue pill?

Yup... DeusEx is the most immersive game i've ever played so far...

Dishonored is pretty boring. I'd choose Deus Ex: HR because of it setting.

Dishonored for me. i felt super letdown by DXHR ending, felt like they just stopped trying

Not a bad option, I thoroughly enjoyed both games.

I loved DE:HR and I really enjoyed that I could play stealthily, or not, depending on my mood and successes. Sometimes I'd be sneaky with the intention of going loud as soon as I screwed up, but I'd successfully continue being sneaky. Other times, I just wanted to cause some chaos. Great game, great setting, and the story has a lot of hidden little bits on the computers if you hack everything (like I did).

As someone who really really doesn't like the inconsistency introduced in sticky cover systems, Deus Ex Human Revolution loses to Dishonored automatically. Beyond that, I can't really compare them as I've been put off playing Deus Ex too much to get a reasonable feel for it yet.

If you not too much into stealth, I'd say Deus Ex, it's a much more casual stealth experience. But if you want a really immersive stealth experience than Dishonored, but you might get sick of it if you don't absolutely enjoy stealth.

First say, i'm not an expert on stealth games, and in one depends a lot of how much time and effort i'm willing to give in certain moment. Said that, Deus Ex HR is pretty nice in that way, not just because you can pass the game with achievements for the stealth/no killing form, instead you can play it both ways, as a shadow in the levels, gathering information or as a badass dude
devastating everything in the way. The story is by far the best i found in a game. As for another stealh game, i recomend if you don't play it yet Hitman, that game is stealth oriented for one to top.

Not sure why, but I'm in the mood for a stealth game. Based on their achievements at least, which are important to me, both of these games seem to encourage stealth. I'm normally too impatient for stealth games, so there's a very realistic chance I'll give up if the going gets rough... but I own both of these games so why the frack not.
In terms of stealth gameplay (with a dash of your opinions of the games in general), which game would you recommend I play?
