Sadly it's kinda true, in Russia many people don't respect any public property as it's not "theirs", which leads to much worse quality of almost any public service that operates there. It's mentality of people. But it's not the problem of only that one country, you can notice similar behaviour in other parts of the world, e.g. in India. That leads to general selfishness and being self-entitled, which is much more common in those parts of the world.

Seeing your answers to other people's reasons, I believe there is no point in trying. You'll have a hard time getting it. It's just a matter of principle. Your ratio speaks for yourself. No need to excuse yourself neither with what little you have to spare, I don't have much either...

I buy bundles and there are games I don't want or already have. So why not? I could give them to my friends but they mostly are playing online stuff like LoL, Dota 2, OW... so they don't care.

For me, leeching isn't really the problem.

The Ambassador-class starship was a type of heavy cruiser in service with Starfleet during at least the mid- to late 24th century.

I haven't (watched) any "Kelvin-Timeline" movies except for the first one and I'm happier that way. I'd rather re-watch TOS movies or TNG movies. Wrath of Khan and First Contact will never be topped, imho.

well, do you watch Starwars ep7?
or even the avengers? or any other movie?
don't think about it as a remake, cause it is not.
it is a different story, in the same (parallel) universe.
the movies were fun (ish)

Well sure because EP7 is still part of the main Star Wars universe. It did irritate me when Disney declared all the Expanded Universe stuff of the past 25+ years was no longer canon, however.

I don't care enough about comics stuff to get up in arms about changes made in the cinematic universe.

To me it is a lackluster action-oriented remake of an original, passionate, intelligent, and groundbreaking series. Yes I'm aware the lifelong Trekkers like Simon Pegg and Karl Urban were stoked to be involved (and perhaps maybe why out of the Abrams cast their performances are the only ones that I liked) but it just disappointed me.The bits I saw of Into Darkness didn't deliver either as an ST fan of 20+ years or a SF fan of even longer.

into darkness was the second one? with Khan? yeah it wasn't that good.
the first was fun. i have high hopes for Beyond.

and Disney had no other choice. i still blame Lucas

I tend to go off of this "In October 2012, The Walt Disney Company acquired Lucasfilm for $4.05 billion.[11] Subsequently, the Lucasfilm Story Group was established to keep track of and define the "canon" in an effort to unify the films, comics, and other media with the existing canon.[12] Chee said in a 2014 Twitter post that a "primary goal" of the Story Group would be to replace the previous hierarchical canon with one cohesive one.[12]"

hence his fault

That had nothing to do with the decision to make the EU non-canon, though. That was all Disney and the new director of Lucasfilm.

I almost gave up on the new movies after they brought out the big guns (Khan) in part 2 and failed miserably in my opinion but I was pleasantly surprised by Beyond :)

Don't worry I wasn't going to say more than that it was good. And I don't really consider the Khan part a spoiler (and obviously neither do you) since one would have to live under a rock to not know that before seeing the movie since the press was all over that one.

I like Cumberbatch usually, but to me Ricardo Montalban will always be the only Khan Noonien Singh. Space Seed is still one of the best overall episodes of any Star Trek series imho:).

I agree. I disliked Into Darkness a lot but I think Cumberbatch was not the main issue. After how smart Star Trek: Enterprise handled the issue while at the same time finally giving an explanation why Klingons in the OS look different from how they do in TNG it just was an utter disappointment for me.

I should really rewatch a few of the original episodes. I haven't seen them in like a decade but the show with Captain Archer brought back a lot of nostalgic memories about the original show.

I've hardly watched any of Enterprise, but I have learned of the positive contributions it made to overall ST canon. In particular the book The Federation: The First 150 years, is a great read for any true Star Trek aficionado.

I have heard the 4th Season of ENT is great in comparison to the rest of the series and I may settle down and watch it someday.

While it has some slow passages I've enjoyed the whole show for the most part but although there is a lot of common ground I'm aware that we seem to like slightly different aspects of Star Trek so I understand if you won't take my word for it. I'd still recommend to watch it from the beginning and see for yourself if you like it.

I remember when I first heard of ENT's premise that I was severely skeptical, especially when it was going to be one of the most modern-looking series of the franchise (I mean, the NX-O1 still looks like it belongs more in the 24th century than the 22nd) and I also hadn't fully appreciated DS9 until a few years after Enterprise premiered. I still need to do a full watch of Voyager's "worthy" episodes and am following several different guides on what to skip and what to watch. However, I do plan to do the same with ENT eventually:)

PS-I always liked the idea of Scott Bakula as a Captain, and the one or two episodes I watched from start to finish ages ago did confirm my hypothesis.

I honestly do it as sort of a hobby. I buy unbundled games from selling trading cards I've received in trades and then I give them away. Secretly I do it to level up though. :3 But don't we all?

why people spend money to giveaway games

Because they can.

I am someone who has always been at the poorer end of society, but the way I see it, if I win games it is only right that I give some back. I did not personally join for charity, because this is not a charity site with a specific goal and a single, underprivileged group of people I know I want to support, but the games I won are not free. They are paid by or have been worked towards by the people giving them. I just call it common decency to give back. Even if it might include some people I would normally not want to give anything to, it's how I show gratitude to the good folks, those who give and the site which enables me to win nice things.

And if there are specific people you do not feel deserve your money, then you can always blacklist them when you see consistently disapproved behavior. If you follow the forums regularly and check profiles, you can see who is a type of person you do not want to support or who abuses the site. Like people who continuously profit off of others' generosity and then have the nerve to come here and complain about getting free things for example. Say hello to my blacklist.
