I appreciate variety. But I'm most attracted to gloomy or aggressive sounds. So a lot of metal, goth, industrial, neo-folk and the more obscure and experimental varieties of electronic music.

I listen to mostly progressive metal bands. Most of the bands I listen to no one has ever heard of.

Here's some of my favs right now:

Sonata Arctica,
Delain,
Infinite Tales,
Lunatica,
Dream Theater,
Symphony X,
Sad Alice Said,
Echoes of Eternity,
Evergrey,
Luna Mortis,
Epica,
After Forever,
Mayan,
and Shadow Gallery

Also I'm not the kind of music 'fan' who only listens to singles or one or few songs by a band. I listen to all the songs by all those bands. Also I play guitar bass and keyboard. I used to have a ton of videos on the internet of me playing but my account got deleted.

Old Dubstep (The Others) cuz now it often sounds like noise and no more music, Post Rock (Sigur Ros), IDM (Aphex Twin), Electronica (Boards of Canada), Glitch Hop (The Glitch Mob), Hip-Hop (Nujabes), D&B (Venetian Snares), Rap (QFWGKTA), Classical (Joe Hisaishi), Rock (Arms and Sleepers), Mash-ups (Kids and Explosions) and maybe other types but less than theses ones, into parenthesis it's artists names, in case someone doesn't understand.

I think I've narrowed down my favourite genres to progressive metal, post rock and alternative metal/rock.

I also seem to be into game soundtracks at the moment, which seems to involve a lot of synth.
