Too much... stuff I'm currently playing, want to finish, started, put down, specific friends who own that game, and then by genre.
Honestly the interface of Steam library filters is so much better, I wish Steam would just do something like that.

I used depressurizer - Sorted by How long it takes to beat the game. Kind of as a way that I can tackle a bit of my backlog and choose depending on the time I have! Otherwise I also added Multiplayer, Current and Completed Categories.

Oof, I have a bit of a hybrid going on right now: Dropped, F2P, Finished, On hold, Plan to play soon, Played (pre-steam), Playing, Playing (endless), Prototypes, Software, Stuck, and uncategorized for everything else.
It started as a copy of how MAL works but I added some categories and I have been questioning how useful it really is for some time.

So far I've only separated them into the VN category and the rest is still in it's original by name order.

I mark every game as a favourite when I add it to my Steam library. Then I unmark it when I play it. I've found this to be the easiest way of marking the games I haven't played, then removing them from favourites as I play them.
Unless I'm marking newly added games, or looking through my favourites to decide what to install, I leave my Steam set to only show installed games.
As for further categorization, the way I see it is that if I can't remember a game after having played it, it's not a game I'm going to want to play again.

The categories I use are:
All the rest are games I'm either currently playing, intend to play in the future or started playing in the past, and may return to in the future.

Hidden: Bundled games I don't care when I play.
Not hidden: unbundled games and SG wins.

I only use favorite and regular, although the VR catagory just exists because steam

I want to know how people sort their Steam games in the Steam Client, no how to do it. Right now I have 200 games and I put the installed games in "Favorites", created a category called "Good Games" for exactly what I consider good games. I have a "Crap" category and the games that not match Good nor Crap category are in "Games".
How do you all do it? I'm curious because I'm sure people are more neat and clean for these things than me lol
