Could you explain to me why?
I got stuck in FNV, I played Oblivion for around 70+ hours before I was a PC gamer, Bioshock 2 isn't near as fun as 1, and Rage seems... eh.
(I honestly meant to buy the Deluxe edition of Oblivion, but bought GOTY instead.)
EDIT: HL2E1 was too hard for me. Fallout 3 I've heard takes a fuckton of bug fixes to get it to work. Dead Island... don't get me started. SR2... I'd like to play it, but same issues as F3.

Only save point was right next to like 8 bandits and a car, with incredibly low health.

I second FNV! I really, really enjoyed that one! (Hell, I've been toying with the ideia of playing through it again, and I rarely do that)

I suggest you dark souls. Is pretty challenging and nice to play. Even the world and the online system is pretty catchy and you could enjoy this a lot. I even suggest you to play it because GFWL will close next year!
If i should suggest you something else... Bioshock saga, there isn't need to give explanations, because is a poetichal saga.
Or else, try some bundles here http://www.indiekings.com/p/bundle-tracker.html
Ps. Dark Souls 7$ on amazon

Please, only suggestions that I own.
I beat Bioshock 1, it was absolutely amazing. But 2 just isn't as fun as 1 to me.
(Dark Souls looks fascinating to me, I love challenges, but I just can't afford it)

Most of them lag like hell on my computer, or would've been enjoyed a lot more if they went to someone else.
Hell, I barely enter giveaways anymore for this very reason.

I dread the day when anyone asks me this. All I know is that I have an HP Pavilion g6, with a Nvidia graphics card. 4 GB of RAM.
It's fairly shitty but it runs a lot of games decently all the same.

I bought it in the Summer Sale and I kind of regret it.
It's very slow moving and a little boring. Any tips on how to enjoy it more?
EDIT: I tried replaying Borderlands 2 the other day. Augh god it was atrocious, I hate that game with a passion.

I'm not going to lie, the game is an absolute shitpile on SP, and I don't have any friends who own it.
Also, lag.

You lag on Payday 1 ??? Have your tried turning the stone wheel inside your pc, that might help =/

It runs horribly on my laptop, but there really isn't any need to insult me.
I can run games like Borderlands 2 and Saints Row 3 fine on fairly low graphics.
(And Burnout Paradise works perfectly without me turning down the graphics at all.)

I didn't insult you but your laptop. If you have an issue running most modern games why bother starting a thread like this ? Most suggestions won't work for you anyway... Having said that, buy yourself Spelunky, Game Dev Tycoon, Mark of the Ninja and Mercenary Kings. They're fun games for little money that have hardly any system requirements.

My laptop is fine and is also secretly connected to me, and that was therefore an insult to me.
All of the games I own run fine on my laptop besides most of the ones I've won. It really is no big deal and my laptop isn't that bad.
I already have a lot of really good games. I want people to explain to me why I should play them.
And I can't buy games, for fuck's sake.

Karateka, you can beat it in under an hour and knock that one off your unplayed list.

I don't really want easy-quick-to-beat games, I want games that I can start playing now and keep on playing for a while.
To stave off boredom.

Anything to say about Risen? I'm kind of interested, but is there any real good reason to install it?
(And I explained about the Fallouts above)

:o
I enjoyed everything, the quests, the exploring, the fight, and story more or less.

Dead Island
Because Deep Silver.
Ravaged
Because it's the best game I've ever played.
Bad Rats
Because Bad Rats.

Surely Metro 2033 deserves more than 2 minutes?
Everyone says the single-player part of Dead Island sucks, but my friend gifted me an extra copy during the summer sale and by the time he was ready to join, I was level 30+ :P Seriously hooked. It just takes some getting used to. It's not a typical FPS. Actually, it's more like a first-person melee.

I played a bit (around 5 hours) of Dead Island on Xbox. I absolutely hated every minute of it. The story is ridiculously cliche' and uninteresting. The gameplay is boring and repetitive. It's almost literally the same thing over and over again. Then I got to guns. You get ammo, instantly run out, and never find any more. Same with weapons. They constantly break and there's maybe 2 workbenches per area, and they cost a LOT to fix. Not to mention the various bugs and glitchiness.
And Metro 2033 lags like absolute hell for me, I'd love to play it if it didn't.

I'm guessing by your playtime that you didn't finish Braid. The last level of that game is pretty sweet. I know it's been mentioned but FNV is a truly stellar game if you like storytelling. Loads better than the first. I had to start it over once as well but at 5 hrs you have barely scratched the surface. Mirror's Edge one of my all time favorites.

I finished everything with Braid besides the puzzles, I'm atrocious at puzzles.
I might go back to FNV eventually.
I'm stuck on Mirror's Edge. I'm really good at getting stuck.

Might give this a try.
You probably already tried Fallout 3 on Xbox, I presume. If not, then give it a try. Not very different from the Elder Scrolls games, but it has its own thing going on. It was a great time sink for me on console, but I'd never fucking go back to that version in a million years (bugs, no console commands, no mods, etc). It also has a kajillion installworthy mods out there, so if you already completed it, go give those a try.
Then there's World of Goo and EDGE, which I can't recommend enough, though mostly for the atmosphere. World of Goo was pretty much THE game for me when I went to college; for some reason it always created this very cozy audiovisual experience that calmed my tits when hard times came around. EDGE was similar like that, but probably even better. If you're sitting there looking at the games list and figuring out what you want to play, start either of these up instead and start thinking about what to do next while you play them. You won't regret it.
Last but not least, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Tits. I mean, light. If you want to, I can play some co-op with you on that one.

I have never played a Fallout game on console. I've heard that 3 needs a LOT of bug fixes to work even remotely, and quite frankly I'm pretty lazy and not too willing to install a ton of shit on my laptop to get a game to work. I'll probably try it sometime, just not RIGHT now.
World of Goo always seemed very overrated to me. The gimmick is interesting but gets old and difficult quickly.
I'll try EDGE again. It seems fun.
Lara Croft was ok... I have like 3 of the original ones on PS1 and they were pretty fun, but I'm dicks at puzzles, even simple ones. I'll try it again, why not.

I honestly downloaded Risen before you even suggested that!

Play FNV, make more than one save just in case you get stuck.

vvvvvv, fez, papers please, super hexagon, minesweeper, solitaire, anything on kongregate, bioshock infinite, borderlands 2, dishonored, dirt, trackmania
Comment has been collapsed.
I beat VVVVVV the other day, ironically.
I don't own Papers and it doesn't interest me.
Don't get me started on Super Hexagon. I've beaten the first 2 levels and that's as far as I'm going.
I despise Borderlands 2 and Dishonored seems very overrated.
Besides, I don't own a lot of those.

How about you figure out what the hell your PC can play and how about you stop opening stupid threads where we have to guess what game you're in the mood for?

Ok, so, school has started. I'm getting absolutely fucking bored. 90% of what I've been doing lately is Cookie Clicker, SHODN, and talking to my bro. And the occasional Youtube video.
I need suggestions of games. Ones from my library, that preferably I haven't played much of before.
Perhaps explain to me why I need to give them another chance or beat them.
(PLEASE don't suggest any games I have won, 95% of those games I don't deserve)
I am very stubborn and will probably refuse to reinstall a lot of games.
Thanks in advance.
