So, with the upcoming release of the new gtx series i'm willing to upgrade to the 970.

My current specs:

-gtx 600ti
-8 gb ram
-i7-2600 quad-core 3.4 Ghz
-2x1TB hard disk
-PSU 500 watt

Are 500watt enough? To be precise, the psu is a modular OCZ modxsteam pro. Is the upgrade worth it or should i wait?
If not, considering i also wanted to buy a ps4 for bloodborne, will games such as metal gear solid V and arkham knight perform better on ps4 or on my current rig?

i would recommend you to get a new psu at least 850w this way you'll be able to have 3-4 970 in the future ;)

i have a ASUS GTX970 OC i love it!

Yeah, but i'm not going to sli (at that point i'd need to change the case and the motherboard maybe), neither to overclock.

~300W wall usage for system with GTX970. (So it includes CPU etc.)

"...perform better on ps4 or on my current rig?" Your current rig is already better than PS4. Also you put GTX 600ti, is 660 ti...I think 500W have to be enough.

i know a 600ti alone is more powerful than a ps4, but still, ps4 has better optimization.

Some games not even run on 1080p there, or not even above 30fps, so if you set the same graphics settings and resolution as on PS4 even with worse optimization you will get more fps.

If you visit the specifications page at Nvidia it says 500W minimum so you're good to go.
